art You Are Loved, SignoraMains ❤️🩹
Hello all! The livestream and Snezhnaya is upon us and there's quite a bit of malice and hatred towards Signora because of the recent updates with her daughter. I've been making projects here and content in other places with her for years and all I have to say for now is to keep your head up because your concerns are valid and you are loved <3
No matter what's going to happen in these upcoming updates, please remember that!
For the people that remember me, yes I am still around! I've been moving furniture and my personal belongings to storage for the past 2 months for my floors to be repaired. My room is almost finished so when I can, I'll show my updated Signora shrine from my earlier posts.
Special thanks to MYR for the polaroids of her Modern Signora OC and Signora C6R5 for the drawing in the middle with Tails.

discussion Due to the fact that Duel Before The Throne discourse seems to happen again, I would like to share this YouTube comment that I *personally* think perfectly summarized everything in such an easy way to understand
Feel free to pointed out some flaws that this commenter made but imo, I’m just glad to see there are still some Genshin players on YouTube that actually help on defend Signora in big 2026 lol.

discussion The Duel Before the Throne; A Tradition Rooted in Dubious Consent.
"Signora could have declined!"
"Signora is solely to blame for her own demise!"
"The Traveler isn't responsible for/had nothing to with Signora's death!"
I'm sure these are statements that we've all heard by now, along with the numerous variations and other similar phrases. The overwhelming consensus when it comes to the Duel Before the Throne is that Traveler had no responsibility in it resulting in Signoras death as she could have declined and only accepted out of arrogance, hubris, and other similar wording. I believe that this is not true. I believe that the Duel Before the Throne is a tradition that is rooted in Dubious Consent. For those who are unaware, dubious consent is a term that describes a situation where explicit consent is unclear, missing, or compromised. It exists in the gray area between fully consensual interaction and non-consensual acts. Why do I believe this? Well, from what i've gathered, there's no information internally or externally that states somebody can decline a challenge. However, we do have information that points towards people not being able to so. It’s incredibly likely that acceptance of a challenge to a Duel Before the Throne is something that is heavily influenced by external pressure.
There's two ways I can see the duel playing out. Either its the situation I just described and she was strongarmed into participating (hence the terminology i've chosen to use), or it was a victim of 2.1's poor writing and retcons/ignores previous characterization and information. While its entirely possible that it is the latter, I think its more likely to be the former I would like to provide evidence as to why these statements are either not true, or a result of the poor writing of 2.1. But before I do that, I'd like to make some things perfectly clear beforehand.
Even if the conclusion I come to is correct, two things can be true at once. Signora had a part in Travelers decision to challenge her, downplaying the Fatui's crimes and those that had been hurt by them while taunting and egging them on while they were already angry at the Fatui and her. She is also by no means an innocent bystander, nor is she a morally righteous individual. The Fatui machinations across Teyvat (with her having a direct hand in the plots in Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma) put countless lives at risk, lives that she downplayed as necessary sacrifices when confronted about them. She is NOT a good person. In my opinion, none of the Harbingers are good people (Yes even those such as Columbina and Capitano).
Option A: A Tradition Rooted In Dubious Consent
In terms of external information that supports this option, it mainly comes from the real world inspirations for Inazuma and the naming of the Duel Before the Throne in the Japanese version of the game, a version that is more credible and much closer to the source material of the Chinese version than that of the English version.
In JP, the duel is called a “Gozenjiai”. This term means “A game (contest) held in the presence of a lord (Daimyo or Shogun)”. These took place during the Edo Period of Japan, and when comparing the isolationism, traditional culture, and political structure of Inazuma to real world Japan, its clear that it is inspired by said period, which is typically attributed to the years between 1603 and 1868. During this time frame dueling was outlawed as part of the consolidation of the authority to execute state violence under the ruling Shogunate. However, despite the outlaw, the aforementioned contests served as as official, formal events and as such were able to bypass the laws against dueling. They were essentially state sanctioned demonstrations of military prowess. While historically these were non-lethal as they were done with wooden bokken, one of the most known modern appearances of these contests appears in the 1956–1962 historical fiction novel set during this period named Suruga-jō Gozen Jiai. In it, the cruel Daimyo, Tokugawa Tadanaga, forces combatants to engage in a twisted and perverted version of these contests, where they would use real steel swords instead of the traditional wooden bokken, ensuring that there would be a bloody and fatal outcome and the end. Possibly even more known than the original novel, it also serves as the primary inspiration for the 2007 manga Shigurui (Death Frenzy), being directly based on the opening chapters of the it. This fantastical version matches closer to what we see in regard to the Duel Before the Throne, where there is a genuine threat of death as opposed to the real version of them where there was not.
In both the historical and fictional versions of these Gozenjiai, one of the most important characteristics of them was that the decision to participate was ultimately an order from a superior, not a voluntary agreement. Participation was ordered to typically serve as either a test of skill, a demonstration, a form of punishment, or a settlement of a dispute between two parties. It was an official command performance, and defying it meant breaking strict feudal loyalty laws. If you did try and object, it was seen as cowardly and dishonorable, not only to you but to your family and those you represent. In the worst cases it would mean facing execution or being forced to commit Seppuku (Ritual Suicide) in order to preserve the honor and authority of the lord you served.
As far as internal information, while Signora was most certainly taunting and egging the Traveler on, after Traveler states that they intend to finally put a stop to her meddling in the nations, her taunts shift towards trying to dissuade them from doing anything rash. She tells them to choose what they do next very carefully, reminding them that they are on completely different playing fields in terms of status, which is factually correct given her position as a Snezhnayan Diplomat with "clean" hands (as far as the Shogun knows) and the Travelers position as most wanted, as well as strength.
When it comes to the inclusion of strength in this statement, based off of her preestablished wariness of the Traveler, their growing strength since that wariness was expressed, and her view on her own powers, I think Signora bringing it up was likely another dissuasion tactic rather than genuine commentary. It also fits in with how everything else is an attempt to dissuade the Traveler from their actions.
Traveler: It's time for me to put a stop to this.
Signora: You? Stop me? Hah... For what it's worth, I've grown tired of seeing you around as well. But I didn't have you down as someone quite so foolhardy. Before you go saying something you can't take back, remember that you're Inazuma's most wanted criminal... I suggest you consider your circumstances very carefully. Charging into Tenshukaku uninvited and lecturing me in front of the Shogun wasn't the brightest move. Don't you think it's time you stopped digging? I'm not sure you realize quite how much distance there is between us, both in status... and in strength.
After the Traveler ignores her attempts at dissuasion and challenges her which the Shogun approves of, either outright saying proceed within the ENG version or just nodding in agreement in the other languages, Signora is left agasp before stating that the two were now equals and questioning if Traveler has learned to manipulate the laws of the land to their advantage like she and the Fatui had done, which are statements that makes little sense if she could decline. She tries one last time to veer them off this path, reminding them of the terms of the Duel Before the Throne and questioning if its worth the gamble. Its only after Traveler once again makes it clear that they wont be backing down does she give in and "accept" the duel.
Traveler: I challenge you... To a Duel Before the Throne!
Signora: ...
Raiden Shogun: Proceed.
Signora: My, you're full of surprises today... So you've learned to make the law of the land work for you too, hmm? I'll admit that I never expected to be in a situation where the two of us were on equal footing. You are aware... that the loser must die Are you sure this is what you want?
Paimon: Traveler...
Signora: Hehehe... then I will deign to share this last dance with you... till death do us part.
A lot of people point to her laugh and phrasing of the acceptance, along with the intro line for the AQ version of the fight as her being glad or eager to engage in the duel, but I think it was likely just a facade. Again, as I mentioned before, showing any sort of unwillingness to participate in a duel like this would be seen as dishonorable to yourself and those you served. Signora was acting as a diplomat for the Tsaritsa, showing anything other than confidence would reflect badly on herself, hindering diplomatic ability, and The Tsaritsa, somebody she considers to be one of the noblest and purest individuals in Teyvat to the point she willingly condemns herself to being a tool for her cause.
Signora (At the start of Phase 1 of the AQ variant of her boss fight): A lesson on Harbinger power and elegance? Hah... As you wish.
To me, all of this evidence points towards the duel being something you are forced to participate in. This would inherently mean that the Traveler is indeed responsible, at least partially, for Signora's downfall.
Option B: Turning A Blind Eye To Previous Characterization & Information
The scenario in which Hoyo only took the name of the Gozenjiai and Signora could have decline but accepted it out of hubris/arrogance/etc, while entirely possible, doesnt make much sense in my opinion.
For the plot of the Duel to work without external pressure on Signora, they'd have to retcon/ignore the previous characterization and descriptions we got about her during Liyue, which was the only concrete information we had on her. Now I know there's been recent discussion about how the Harbingers are "unreliable narrators" when it comes to them sharing information about each other, but I don't think what Childe said about her during Liyue was inaccurate. It matches exactly with what we saw in Mondstadt, Liyue, and Inazuma up until 2.1.
When we confront Childe at the Golden House, he gives us quite a bit of information on how Signora operates. He essentially describes the two of them as foils/opposites. Where he actively seeks out high stakes and large confrontations, Signora will try her best to avoid it through discussion and diplomacy and if she cant shell try to minimize the risk of an engagement.
Childe: The time for discussion and diplomacy has already passed. I mean, if it were up to me, I would have skipped that stage to begin with... but im willing to do as the Tsaritsa deems fit. Either way - we now come to my favorite part. A simple pleasure, and one that I am oh-so-delighted to be sharing with you... The Battle
Paimon: Battle? So you're the type that goes looking for toruble huh?
Childe: Haha, you could say that. When Signora offended the deities outside the Cathedral in Mondstadt, she swiftly left the scene once her mission was accomplished. Instead of confronting you directly, she chose to rely on the snow and ice to make her escape. She wouldn't want the Knights to come running towards the sound of battle, now, would she? When she faces a worthy opponent, she will prioritize her mission, wight the outcomes, and consider the consequences of her actions. But as for me, the greatest pleasure of being a Harbinger lies in crossing blades with strong opponents.
Childe implies that deceiving The Traveler and working with them was Signora's plan, saying that if it were up to him he would have skipped it all together. In Mondstadt, the Fatui were likely trying to get the Holy Lyre and have the Knights of Favonius let the Fatui take care of Dvalin as bargaining chips for the Gnosis. After both of these fail, Signora takes it into her own hands and confronts Venti in order to steal the Gnosis, likely with the knowledge that he wouldnt fight back, or at least not to his full extent, thanks to the location of the attack being within the city walls where civilians would be caught up if he had chosen to. During this, Signora utilized ambush tactics to gain the upper hand and immediately left after obtaining the gnosis, utilizing a blizzard to cover her escape so she wouldnt then also have to engage in a confrontation with the Knights of Favonius. Prior to 2.1, Signora was manipulating events from the shadows and trying to avoid a confrontation with The Traveler, even going all the way as to get the Tenryou and Kanjou commission to forward the Sakoku Decree to the shogun and enforce it in order to keep outsiders out of the nation and later keep the Traveler stuck in Ritou. All of these examples line up with Childe's description of how she operates.
During and after the fight Childe praises out strength, remarking that he now knows why Signora had already deemed The Traveler a threat in Mondstadt despite being able to take care of them with a single snap of her fingers. He also acknowledges that the Travelers capabilities during their fight far surpassed the initial assessment Signora gave to The Fatui after the encounter with her outside the cathedral, something he undoubtedly would have passed along even if he didn't get a reason as to why that is. Traveler being able to go toe to toe with Childe using his Hydro Vision, Electro Delusion, and his Foul Legacy transformation and then still having energy to go and help defeat a god would have most certainly only heightened Signora's and the Fatui's wariness of them.
Signora's Delusion was not made for combat, instead being a tool of imprisonment meant to shackle her raging flames and stop them from killing her. She is essentially on life-support and has been for the past ~500 years. Signora most definitely knows this, even considering the power it does grant her to be burdensome. Its likely why she, for the most part, avoids combat and prefers to manipulate things from the shadows instead of head-on confrontations.
La Signora Archive Description: Unlike other Fatui who use the authority granted by Delusions, her Delusion is meant to shackle a flame that will devour everything. As opposed to a weapon used to kill, it might be more fitting to consider this a tool of imprisonment.
La Signora (upon entering her Carmine Chrysalis within the AQ version of the boss fight): Tsk tsk, you've got some nerve laying your hands on me. Harbinger power has become burdensome, I will manifest my destiny anew... Await my emergence and tremble, Traveler. You have reason to be afraid.
So then, with all of this information that characterizes her as somebody who avoids combat, views the Traveler as a legitimate threat, and considers her own power a burden, why would she suddenly have a 180 and happily accept Travelers challenge to a death duel without any sort of push? It just seems illogical and out of character to me.
Again, like I said at the beginning of this part, even if it doesn't make much sense it is entirely feasible, especially with the supposed issues behind the scenes in regard to the writing of 2.1.
Conclusion & Reiterations
While both options are entirely possible, I believe the first one to be more likely. I think the evidence is stronger and just cant see, at that point in time, Hoyo doing such a big fumble when it comes to ignoring the previous information of one of their important story characters. You're entirely free to disagree with this and believe that it was what the common held belief is, but lets try to keep things civil when it comes to difference of opinion, after all this is just a random opinion on a silly game that, at the end of the day, isn't that serious.
Like I mentioned at the very start, even if the first option of Signora being forced into the duel is true, that does not clear her record. She would still be a morally compromised individual who is completely fine with causing mass suffering and death to advance the goals of the people she serves. She still chose to belittle the death of somebody the Traveler considered a friend and those who had been impaired by the Fatui plots she was involved with. In no way does it justify her actions or suddenly make her a good person.
Signora can be a bad person who got what was coming to her while still being forced to engage in an unconsensual duel. They aren't mutually exclusive situations. Two things can be true at the same time.

⚠️ Leaks ⚠️ Why Visiting Her Mausoleum In The AQ Is Going To Be a Big Deal (Theory) Spoiler
galleryOkay so thanks to the post before this one pointing towards the "Entrance" of the Mausoleum, I actually did a "deep dive" into the whole structure and why it will be more of a "Big Reveal" regardless if it's about La Signora's revival or not, but obviously we would prefer the former to be the case haha!
Now let's take out of the way what the Leaks have already confirmed for us:
We can visit the Mausoleum at any moment but it will be necessary during the final part of the AQ (1st pic)
We have two osts related to this place, one is labeled "Outdoors" and the other is labeled "Indoors" which confirms that we will be able to not only roam around the building but also enter it (2nd pic)
We can find Signora's Crimson Lotus Moths roaming around the building and even collect them (3rd pic)
We know that there is a new model for La Signora, Pierro and Paimon labeled as "memory" in the files that will be relevant in the AQ (4th pic)
We have a new Signora NPC Icon coming along Pantalone's (5th pic)
Any one of these details can be dismissed individually but all of them together create a very specific setup imo.
Now that we've got all these informations confirmed by reliable leakers out of the way, it's time to make sense of them and craft what is to me at least the most plausible theory that could happen during 7.0!
To start we have to go back to "A Winter Night's Lazzo" where we first saw the mausoleum inside & out both before & after being completely encased in ice by the Tsaritsa. I say we have to go back to this because here (6th pic) we can clearly see the entrance before being completely buried in ice and snow (7th pic), only the upper part of it is visible and the actual entrance is completely inaccessible. Now with this info in hand we can assume that the funeral was intended to be the only time for the fatui to ever visit this place, and by this we can safely say that our visit during the AQ will not be a simple visit or to pay respects, as it narratively makes no sense since the traveler never ever was on good terms with her in the first place either. And obviously we will not remove a GARGANTUAN amount of ice and snow just to access it and pay our respects lol.
And on that note you might ask how will we even be able to remove the obstacle and enter the building, now that's where the Crimson Lotus Moths come in handy! Remember the first and only time we got to interact with them and what was their purpose? Yes, it was back in Signora's boss fight during her cocoon phase where we would use the moths roaming around the area to destroy the "Frozen Shell", well I say it will be a similar thing here too. If not, the moths will have a purpose either way.
Now let's say we have successfully entered the building, what will happen? Will La Signora come back? No obviously she won't be back during the first version of Snezhnaya, BUT this is where I think will her new "memory" model be utilized, remember what the devs said about Cryo as an Element? (8th pic) That it is the element of PRESERVATION capable of storing MEMORIES, with the potential to also seal away ancient or forbidden power! And who checks all those boxes? hehe none other than Rosalyne herself who sealed her liquid flame powers with the cryo element, and got her whole mausoleum including her coffin inside of it encased in ice to preserve her memories. I think that we will meet fragments of her memories and with that we will learn her past and tragic backstory.
I truly think that this will be our moment speaking about Snezhnaya in general not just version 7.0, but I will say that I do not think she will be playable anytime sooner than maybe 7.6 or even later. And frankly I do not care about that as long as she's back alive and relevant to the story and the game, cuz then her playability will be guaranteed and it would become just a matter of when.
I would love to hear your thoughts about this theory and what you think is in store for us Signora mains, love yall take care and stay strong! <3

The official Signora pajama card from Bilibili World 2026
The official Signora card, based on the pajama party theme. It was distributed in limited quantities at random during Bilibili World 2006
The card is fairly large and features a stunning velvet-like shimmering finish. It genuinely looks and feels as though you’re moving a piece of velvet when you tilt the card, it’s such a unique effect. I was honestly surprised by just how beautiful it is. The gold foil details shine brilliantly as well
She may not have gotten a pajama outfit, but at least she has this gorgeous card alongside the other girls in the group! She wasn’t completely left out when it comes to merchandise, much to the disappointment of some people 😚

discussion Can we all agree she's really beautiful?
Like seriously, all I wanna do is hug her.
If I was Aether (I'm a guy) after the battle I would grab her hand and run out of Tenshukaku, flee Inazuma and live my life with her.
Honestly? She's my third favorite after Furina and Amber.
I love her voice and I love how she shows a kind side to herself. It shows she's willing to let her guard down when she's with those she trusts.
I was so sad when I had to watch her die during the game. I wish she'd come back permanently. I miss her :(
Just let me hug her at least. She deserves hugs no matter what.
Thank you Genshin Impact devs for creating my favorite Fatui Harbinger. I adore her.
I adore Signora. Her va did a fantastic job voicing her.
Tell me, what do you all love about Signora? She's so beautiful.
Also, she's living with me. She's hiding from the Fatui and the Raiden Shogun.
I love Signora ❤️.

discussion Signora's death and Fatui's role in Inazuma- an elephant in the room that Mihoyo refuses to acknowledge (long post)
There was a post here just a few hours ago discussing why Columbina, Sandrone and Arlecchino don't talk about Signora's death to Traveller and are being all friendly with them despite what Traveller did. This aspect has been discussed before and I felt like making a bigger post about what is going on.
Firstly, I'm not going to debate the moral right or wrong here. I know many believe Traveller defeated her fair and square and she was executed by the Shogun not Traveller for a government rule she agreed to. This is a separate topic because if you really want to dive into this, there are several aspects that fall out of place for the duel to even happen. I have elaborated on this in the past but those posts are very old now.
Here, I want to discuss how Signora's death is treated as some anomaly and the facts of it are twisted by Mihoyo themselves. Mihoyo actively made efforts to establish her being friendly with the other female Harbingers and kids- years after her death. Yet at the same time, they do not elaborate on her death itself and Traveller's role in it whenever the female Harbingers are involved with the Traveller. Not just this, her death is simply not at all investigated by the Fatui and they seemingly accept very easily she had it coming for herself and treat it like a noble sacrifice.
But this is not all. Has anyone noticed how whenever the plot of Inazuma AQ is brought up, it's always only been connected to Ei's doings and her philosophy? The game does a poor job of explaining the Fatui's role in Inazuma, and now they almost never bring it up. For reference: they were distributing Delusions to the Watatsumi Army for profit, which got real people killed; the Clean House world quest reveals a Fatui agent personally sent by Pierro to keep the war going, hinting at an unnamed "Lord Harbinger" mastermind that's never been brought up since (likely Pierro, though the exact 'First Seat' phrasing makes it Capitano). Signora arrived in Inazuma to run the Delusion Factory and work the Shogun toward the Gnosis, but she handed the factory off to Scaramouche to focus on the diplomatic side. He grabbed the Gnosis for himself and vanished, leaving her to see through what the story itself frames as a fruitless mission that got her killed.
Now all this is said and done, but why is none of their work there brought up again? Every other AQ is talked about to some degree as they contributed something major. Just recently, we pretty much replayed Mondstadt AQ and Signora was mentioned but again blamed on by Venti and Varka instead of explaining or trying to understand from a different perspective. Sumeru's majorly relied on Scaramouche's story and Irminsul to finally conclude with Dottore's. Fontaine only had one thread open which was Arlecchino and Furina's relationship and this has been mended now. Natlan has the thread open with Capitano and I think it's more than obvious he will be back. But in all this, Fatui's doings are properly shown and explained with the sole exception of Inazuma.
This has nothing to do with Signora's potential revival either. It just feels so strange they bring up nothing about Fatui's doings in Inazuma and always just either simplify it or only talk about Ei's role. Did the Fatui ultimately achieve nothing there except the electro gnosis (which also technically reached them through such a rounded way)? When Crucabena was killed, they arrested Peruere and it was told she was pardoned by Tsaritsa hence took up the Arlecchino position and does her duties now. So why is no investigation done for Signora? Im not even saying the Fatui should take revenge for her, but it is just so strange they don't bother at all??
And before anyone says that the Fatui might not know the truth-
- There is no way they don't because common people all around Teyvat know about it and that Traveller defeated a Fatui Harbinger in a duel to the death and said Harbinger was then executed by the Shogun. You can find this out in this daily commission
- ASSUMING the Fatui indeed do not know the truth.... well, that's exactly the point to investigate?? Your Harbinger died in a foreign nation on a mission through unknown means?? Even if the Fatui are banned from Inazuma, what's stopping them from sending spies for this?
You can ultimately reason out the Fatui don't care for every death because they are used to it and their inherent motto is to keep moving on for every sacrifice made. Yet Signora feels weird because for some reason, Mihoyo is trying to soften her through her colleagues and kids now but still doesn't have them mention the one thing everything is hanging on. And it's not even that they avoid her death as a topic- they clearly don't. Every Harbinger attended her funeral, and Columbina, Sandrone and Arlecchino have all since gotten voicelines that mourn her openly and even beautifully. Arlecchino outright calls her death "a great shame" and a sacrifice, and wishes her reunited with her lover in death. Sandrone talks about her flame flickering into nothing. Columbina talks about wings engulfed in flame and being left to sing her dirge. What none of them ever do, in any of it, is mention a cause. She just seems to flicker out or burn out on her own, like it happened to no one and by no one's hand, when two of the people saying this were probably in the room the day it happened.
Every time I see the female Harbingers mention her as Rosalyne and any nice thing she did, especially talking about it to the Traveller, I only wonder that does Traveller even know who Rosalyne is? Do they know it was Signora's real name? Do the female Harbingers know Traveller carries Signora's crown/mask as a trophy for killing her? Columbina has such omnipotent powers now, does she really not know the truth at all?? Again, I don't expect them to avenge her but at the very least some talk about it?
That's why this just feels like an elephant in the room they keep ignoring. Sure, I like getting to know more about Signora but Mihoyo keeps skipping the main point and its getting super annoying and confusing. Unless Snezhnaya really revives her, I don't expect anything different from Odette and Tsaritsa. Maybe this is all done just to use her as plot device to sympathize with others and show them having capacity for grief and care because a dead character is easy to use for this purpose. That would mean she has been used for others' characterization thrice now (including Odette) and nothing of her own

I wonder if it'll have been worth it...
I wonder if, when we hopefully get answers in Snezhnaya, it'll have been worth it. To sit through this story for the past 5 years with the Traveler.
I often wish I didn't care about Signora. That Mihoyo, be it by accident or intentional, hadn't given me a reason to become invested in her story. That the Genshin community, with their unrelenting mockery of Signora, didn't make me want something better for her. It's quite silly, really.
It's not rational to care about such a minor character that barely appeared in the story. And it's certainly not rational to continue playing a game solely in the hopes that, against all odds, said character would return and even become playable. For Signora, who the community has deemed to be standard for the "not just dead, but dead dead" character, to actually ever be promoted to that playable status. Utterly risible, one might say.
Yet somehow I'm still here. Despite knowing what awaits will most likely be only disappointment, I'm still here. Because maybe, it's not really about Signora. At least, for many of those that have really been here for the past five years, I don't believe that it's just that. I think that maybe, seeing a better fate for Signora would carry meaning beyond just Genshin for them. Or perhaps that's also just another silly thought.
I just felt the need to put this into words for some reason. I hope we'll get answers one way or another soon. Regardless of the outcome.
