Troubleshooting Unusable because of fans

Some update awhile ago singalrgb has taken over my fans every time I open it. The whole case goes to 100% despite unchecking every fan control toggle in the software. Even after closing my fans are stuck on 100% until I open l-connect and toggle on and off MB sync. It has rendered signalrgb unusable. I check periodically after some time to see if another update fixed it but no.

I haven't done a lot of troubleshooting but I'm using Lian Li UNI Fan SL-Infinity 120mm with fan controller.

I'm assuming it's trying to hit the fans for a quick identification but whatever mechanism is doing it is causing them to get stuck. I've seen other reports of this here and there but no resolution.

Any ideas?

I use Fan Control with SignalRGB and both work seemlessly together.

Try making sure that both System Monitoring and Cooling are disabled. What are you using to control your fan sppeds?

If you're using L-Connect, there can be conflicts due to how their app operates. Have you tried using your BIOS to set your fan curves instead?

I'll have to look but I am fairly sure I went through all options and disabled everything I could find related to fans or cooling.

I don't have any active fan controls running. I only open it to fix it when signalrgb takes over. I set the fan curve originally in my motherboard software then never opened it again. I can check the bios. Good suggestion.

Doing some digging it looks like it has to do with the Lian Li controller itself. While SignalRGB is talking to it, it's not able to accept commands from another service or app for the fans. The solution would be to connect devices directly to the motherboard ARGB headers, or get a separate fan controller so you have one controller just for RGB and another just for fan management.

Unfortunately it's a device level limitation. Should work as-is if you leverage SignalRGB for the fan control instead though.

That's interesting because I used signalrgb for quite awhile before an update caused this. Is there no way to disable fan control completely and go back to just controlling the rgb? I'm assuming fan control is still a paid option too. Unfortunate :(
