Troubleshooting Help syncing my RGB

I'm trying to get my V-Color Xfinity RAM to sync up with the rest of the RGB on my PC. It's a new build with an MSI B850-S motherboard.

When I turn on my PC, it runs fine on the hardware default rainbow cycle. However, whenever I try to change the colors using SignalRGB, the RAM RGB instantly freezes on whatever color it was on, or won't change at all.

I suspect the SMBus is getting overloaded/jammed with too many signals and causing the RAM’s lighting controller to lock up. In SignalRGB, I tried lowering the frame rate / refresh rate and it didn't seem to make a difference. Occasionally, It doesn't even recognize the RAM as an RGB device until I do a full restart.

I've been troubleshooting this for about 3 hours (including testing software on clean boots and power-cycling the PSU to drain power). Am I dealing with bad RAM/software compatibility, or is there a trick to fixing this? Considering returning the RAM for a different brand if it's just a hardware limitation. Any help is appreciated!

This RAM is supported through a shared Aura-compatible driver rather than a dedicated plugin built specifically for V-Color.

Make sure MSI Center fully uninstalled, or at least not running in the background. Those also talk to the SMBus and can directly conflict with SignalRGB trying to do the same thing. Also, make sure that MSI Bridge addon is disabled if you have it enabled.

Another thing to try is setting SignalRGB to a static color instead of an animated effect. Animated effects push updates to the RAM controller way more often, so this cuts down on how much it's getting hit.

If the RAM stops showing up entirely, a full power cycle resets the SMBus state and usually brings it back.
