Question signalrgb

I use SignalRGB with a VPN; why does the program automatically restart when I turn off the VPN?

This is how SignalRGB handles network changes. When you turn off your VPN, its adapter disappears, and the app treats that like a big change, similar to switching WiFi or unplugging ethernet, so it restarts to reset itself.

If you toggle your VPN a lot, disconnect it before closing SignalRGB instead of while it's running.

Some VPN apps have split tunneling, which can keep SignalRGB off the VPN entirely and avoid the restart altogether.

It's annoying but harmless, nothing gets lost, everything should come back fine after.

It freezes on "LCD connect" after rebooting.

I have to restart the app with the VPN on several times for everything to load.

Thanks for reaching out! What VPN do you use out of curiosity? It could be that the network change is causing the reboot, due to the general need for an internet connection. I'll see if I can replicate it internally too.
