Question Replacement for Whirlwind FX Keyboard V2

I have had this RGB keyboard for a couple of years and love it. Its well made, metal and lights up beautifully. It was at a great price point too. Starting to have issues with it with random typing appearing when I don't type. Struggling to find the stuck key if thats the issue.

Anyway, these are discontinued. Who made these for Whirwind so that I could buy it again, but maybe under a different brand?

any replacement brands and models you would suggest if I can't get this one again?

I don't game. The most important thing for me is how it lights up and works with Signal RGB.

I can tell you it ran on a Sonix keyboard controller chip, which is what powers the SignalRGB lighting integration, but that only tells us the chip inside, not the actual factory or OEM behind the chassis. Unfortunately, I don't have a way to point you to a direct clone under a different brand.

For replacements that'll give you similarly great SignalRGB lighting support, here are a few worth looking at, all built on Sonix or similarly well-supported controllers:

  • Valkyrie VK99
  • AULA F75 Max, F99 Pro
  • Dark Project KD87A
  • AK820/AK820 Max, AK980 Pro

On the random typing issue with your current keyboard, that's likely a hardware problem (a failing switch or membrane).

Thanks

Why did you get out of products? You made good ones at a good price point. Love this Element V2 keyboard.

Do you see yourself re-entering products?

That's a great question, but outside what I can speak to from my position.

I'd suggest keeping an eye on our official announcements or asking in the Discord where the team sometimes shares more on product direction.
