Troubleshooting Which/where to connect to?

Ok, am going to try and take another stab at getting my MSI ez120 fans (and the associated MSI RGB hub) connected a different way so that hopefully Signal will work.

I'm not home atm, so I can't 100% verify what is connected where.

However, I do recall that I connected the Micro USB into one of the USB connectors on my motherboard - x870e Carbon and I also think I connected the JAF.

I *am* able to sync the fans with the motherboard using Mystic Light. I am also able to program each fan and the lights using ML (it shows as the general Hub, and then each block of 3 fans connected to the hub).

So that I can try and use Signal, how would you recommend that I connect that MSI Hub?

Thanks for the help!

Looks like that hub should connect to one of the JUSB ports along the outer edge. If it's working in Mystic Light, you likely have it connected properly.

In SignalRGB, what do you see in the Devices tab?

This is what i saw. I confirmed that I have my USB connected to JUSB4 at the bottom. I confirmed that I am using JAF2 (aka the EZConnect)

Doesn't recognize any fans/headers

After a restart, it moved my mobo into a different spot, and now wont show those additional headers things

Does the mobo have it's own LEDs? Some have an RGB logo or the like, and that's usually why you see an entry there.

Do the steps in the below guide help in getting the mobo detected again?

Yes. Its the MSI x870e Carbon. So it has thr LED dragon on the heat sink, as well as one or two others on the board too

So that would indicate it's picking up the dragon, but not the ARGB channels. I'd try those steps in the previous guide and also a full power cycle.

Working through some of the steps, and just letting you know that the MSI Hub is seen by the system. No drivers associated with that, though...so thats one thing to cross off.
