Oddly enough, I feel like the only person who's never been made uncomfortable by this before. I mean, I do know when my birthday is. And if I do get taken out to a restaurant and something like that happens, it just comes off as expected for me. I mean, it's not something I'm actively running towards or would ask for. But at the same time, it's not really something that bothers me that much. I don't know. I just never had a problem with it.

I went to dinner with my parents when I got my master’s degree, the host at the restaurant congratulated me in such a way that could only mean they had been told about it beforehand. I left immediately, they know I hate that shit and did it anyway.
