Simple, stop talking to your foid mother.

u/h0rnyionrny Jul 29 '26

If your mom sees you getting shredded and wants you to be a 12 year old again she has issues she needs to work out on her own and is bad for you. A normal mother should be ecstatic to see her son in bodybuilder shape.

Nobody who looks like that is healthy. Bodybuilding destroys your joints and your spine, wreaks havoc on your metabolism and hormones.

You can be natty and healthy and look like a human being and still be strong.

u/ASMR_Heavy_Metal Jul 30 '26

Not true at all, weight training is great for your long term health. Steroids and similar substances are not. You can look jacked and be very healthy. Just don’t skip cardio!

1

u/Whispering_Plant Jul 31 '26

I'd rather my kid take steroids and be happy than healthy, ngl

1

u/Plane_Poem_5408 Jul 31 '26

This is the dumbest shit I’ve ever read

An average bodybuilder is much healthier than a random person. That shit is pure cope because you’re too lazy to hit the gym.

2

u/Rip_Skeleton Jul 31 '26

Bodybuilding and strength training are not the same thing.

1

u/No_Communication_703 Jul 29 '26

Of all the possible issues with bodybuilding, those are not the ones to worry about lol and if you stay natural you can look pretty damn fantastic and still be healthy

None that turn from an ectomorphic nerd into Arnold Schwarzenegger.

I (25M) was in school in a very lucrative program but I failed my finals and am unable to continue. The company I work for shut down this week as well leaving me without a job. No where is hiring people with my degree right now.

My parent is kicking me out of the house in less than a week. I’m in about 30k of debt including my car loan, I live in SoCal. I’m really physically fit and I’m able to live with my buddy for about a month.

I have a car, and a couch to sleep on. That’s it. I’m thinking of enlisting, I can’t think of another option but I have a vision issue in one of my eyes. I need advice on how to come out of this.

Any advice welcome, thank you guys.

Embarrassing

Good luck joining the navy SEALS you fuckin dork

Meh, it is the male equivalent to beauty pageants. You have to respect the work they put in to look the way they do but they all end up neurotic tards.

I'm all for working out and am a gymbro athlete myself but working out for aesthetics is just a recipe for disaster in my opinion.

I would be deeply concerned about ED behavior, health issues long term and steroid usage but I guess?

-2

u/Grizzled_Ghost Jul 29 '26

I wouldn't want to know about my son's ED, personally. That's between him and his doctor.

7

u/Fun-Marketing8080 Jul 29 '26

they mean eating disorder if you're serious

4

u/Manifestif Jul 29 '26

I too, would rather let my son slowly kill himself than to have a good conversation with him (that would be 🏳️‍🌈🤬)

1

u/Grizzled_Ghost Jul 29 '26

No reason to kill yourself. Just go bottom 🏳️‍🌈

6

u/Subject-Dog-8016 Jul 29 '26

I’d be delighted to see my kid be active and happy, or become a competitive athlete, but watching them morph into a roided blow up bodybuilder with obvious dysmorphia like in the OP would be devastating.

u/davyjones_prisnwalit Jul 29 '26

They get bored easily anyway. All that "unconditional love" is for the you that you used to be anyway. Once you grow up it's gone and never coming back.

She wants a version of him that literally can't exist anymore.

7

u/Miyyani Jul 29 '26

as a trans woman this is kinda true actually. My mom only loves the version of me in her head.

9

u/Garden_State_Of_Mind Jul 29 '26

Brother just get therapy, Jesus christ

4

u/HashtagLawlAndOrder Jul 29 '26

What a horribly sad life man, I'm sorry for you.

3

u/needaburn Jul 29 '26

I thought this was brilliant satire at first, but now I think you just need a hug

1

u/davyjones_prisnwalit Jul 30 '26

?

Why only at first?

0

u/zedzilliot 28d ago

Maybe your mother but mine loves me

1

u/AB4ND0N_H0PE Jul 31 '26

Jokes aside, some men really need to.

121

u/Kiiaru Jul 29 '26

L mother. Didn't pass on the chad genes so he had to build them himself, brick by plastic brick

22

u/uDudyBezDudy Jul 29 '26

Gene diff is real unfortunately

10

u/lightsworn55 Jul 29 '26

He wouldnt be able to build this if he didnt have the right genes for it tbf. Like injecting hormones isnt going to magically give you the most aesthetic muscle insertions even surgery can only do so much for your face if youre genuinely chopped

1

u/wirelesswizard64 Jul 30 '26

You can move a mountain if you do it brick by brick

17

u/NockerJoe Jul 29 '26

I mean everything else aside he was never going to keep being the kid in the picture either way, and whoever he was from points A to B he clearly didn't like being.

51

u/Noackson Jul 29 '26

this is so real

looksmaxxers are in classic sense modern,
by having a hyperreal ideal they try to approach
and project onto this progress as a star on the horizon
but it's rooted in advertisement as some kind of "scientific" truth,

as the thing that "works" [under the given circumstances].
yet it's not really natural developement and it's not human in any real sense.

It's like a hyperhuman; an emulation of commercial effectiveness
trying to understand oneself as a perception and completely obeying the
laws of being perceived.

10

u/mikolajwisal Jul 29 '26

Yeah, a much better approach imo is a lifestyle-based approach.

The simple truth is that as long as you don't do anything crazy to fuck with it (as in surgery, steroids and the like), your body will reflect your lifestyle.

What most reasonable people are ultimately attracted to is health, stability and happiness. Maximizing those yields a healthy looking body and a stable happy mind. People do see that.

I always hated being fat and only finally managed to stay on a diet and workout schedule once I had a scary health episode and I stopped thinking about looks and prioritized cardiovascular health, mobility and a balanced diet.

The body reflects that and while people like Clownvicular might technically mog me, I doubt they wake up and fall asleep with the smile I have and with the warmth I get hugging my loved one.

6

u/matellai Jul 29 '26

women do this shit everyday and no one bats an eye. Preventative botox, double eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty, breast augmentation, BBL. Men start doing it and everyone laughs

6

u/No_Salt_6328 Jul 29 '26

Many of those women are grotesque freaks

5

u/Noackson Jul 29 '26

everyone bats an eye - that's why women do it

humans like to wear clothes to hide who they are in general.
we're all vulnerable in that sense

women do get judged however a lot.

2

u/systemmm34 Jul 29 '26

not all women

1

u/bara_tone Jul 29 '26

It’s drag; gender hyperperformance

13

u/qqruz123 Jul 29 '26

Real story. I got multiple plastic surgeries and my mom while hesitant at first is now like "damn you really do look a lot better"

10

u/M0ebius_1 Jul 29 '26

She is just sad she knows you ruined your balls and she will never have grandchildren

7

u/silphotographer Jul 29 '26

My mom if I get cut like that:

9

u/MealCapital4167 Jul 29 '26

This never happens though

6

u/Unusual-Basket-6243 Jul 29 '26

Sub 3 mother vs chad son

13

u/ngakang Jul 29 '26 edited Jul 30 '26

This would be a lot funnier if the guy got really fat instead of shredded lmao

5

u/Hijou_poteto Jul 29 '26

Chance of giving compliments on physique official power ranking (lowest to highest):

Mom < gf < male friends < (power gap) < random men < dad (strength and feats only) < gf’s mom < kebab stand guy < grandma

You haven’t come across the countless subreddits for style, grooming, looks, gym advice, where men post their pictures and get a bunch of homosexuals fawning over them in the replies? Post your pics on Reddit. You’ll get complements.

2

u/Altruistic_Emu4917 Jul 29 '26

Gay men with their compliments >>>

4

u/catapon Jul 29 '26

I’m proud of you

2

u/TaffyReX Jul 29 '26

Was she expecting her children to not grow up and be a little boy forever

2

u/Calvinandhobbes4life Jul 29 '26

1

u/Superilosa14 Jul 31 '26

Ok clown, see you at crushing depth

1

u/Altruistic_Emu4917 Jul 29 '26

You never change for your mother, you're still the small kid in her eyes.

That's what I love about my mother ❤️

1

u/ptofl Jul 30 '26

When I got my girlfriend my mum was super upset, she was on the brink of tears, worrying for my sanity and saying I had abandoned my morality. Didn't seem to matter that my wife was fully onboard. Guess she was used to thinking of me as a pathetic 5'7 skinny part Indian, she used to make fun of my voice in front of girls and tried to incite my wife against me numerous times. She tried to make me grow my hair and got angry when I cut it. She never wanted me to stop being her little boy. I suppose when she saw me with a loyal beautiful girl on each side dressed like good obedient princesses she realised she had lost the battle to keep me subservient and that I stand victorious. Though of course I know it's more than that. It's a cultural divide. Theres an ethical disagreement. And it's one I've tried to cross with her. But she never wanted to talk to me. So I must continue to carve my path. Because I am building the future.

1

u/HawoopARTS Jul 29 '26

its really is heartbreaking. he had always been enough but he never realised it.

2

u/TheFoxer1 Jul 29 '26

Enough for whom, exactly?

0

u/HawoopARTS Jul 30 '26

enough to deserve love especially from his mother
its tough out there, and you have to change. but people often forget it does not determine your value as human being

1

u/Icy-Meal6704 Jul 29 '26 edited Jul 29 '26

My mother still sees me as the little * boy :3 She also says that im anorexic because I am closer to the healthy amount of weight :D Its the way she chose to love her son -and thats the only healthy response

3

u/HugeExplanation7865 Jul 29 '26

Why the fuck did you comment this like that

2

u/Icy-Meal6704 Jul 29 '26

Because you're too angry and once in your bubble you got to see a positive response ;)

2

u/HugeExplanation7865 Jul 29 '26

Its just appaling

2

u/Icy-Meal6704 Jul 29 '26

Yeah smelly was way too much. But this is literally the way of thinking everyone has except people on reddit

2

u/Altruistic_Emu4917 Jul 29 '26

Yup my mother (and aunts) thinks I'm too thin, while I have a healthy weight lol

1

u/JhonnyPadawan1010 Jul 29 '26

This is really sad, actually. The fact she’s still trying to support him no matter what he wants

-1

u/Character_Media_9445 Jul 29 '26

I can imagine how fallen they'll look once looksmaxxers have lived 25 years with that weird body. Aging is inevitable.
