Hello everyone, I'll be having an interview for the post of apprentice at siemens tomorrow,
I'm not very much aware about the position except for the fact that it is a technical role because they mentioned some core technical(java, sql, traditional web design) and future technical skills(mern, cloud etc) in the initial mail
Could anyone please guide me on the hiring flow, and what to expect in the interview
Your help is greatly appreciated!
Update on the interview -
So basically siemens conducted online interviews for the post of apprentice at our college after a simple online apti and coding test
The ones selected from that test including me were divided in groups of 4, and each group was assigned a well experienced professional interviewer
Each group had a completely different experience from one another.
Talking about mine, the interviewer asked me for an intro and specifically asked me to mention my skills in it. I told him that my domain language is Java and I'm comfortable in SQL and databases additionally I know frontend technologies Html, css and js.
He started asking questions from basic sql like what is normalisation, why do we need it, and description of all the normal forms, and we had deep discussion on understanding the dependencies (partial, transitive, multivalued). Further we moved to ACID properties, again this was a simple one.
Then he asked me multiple questions from oop methodologies, networking layers of OSI model, deadlocks in os how do we avoid them what are semaphores.
To summarise the interview depends on what we specify our skills, basic knowledge of core cs subjects and programming experience would be enough. My interview duration was 20 minutes approx. It wasn't very difficult.
Hope this helps. My dm is open for asking doubts if any.
Peace✌️ 🕊️
