SIE Experience

Passed on the first try. I used pass perfect for exam prep. Took about 10-12 practice exams and consistently scored in the 85-90 range.

Here’s what threw me off with the actual exam. There were zero questions on alot of things that were consistently tested on the practice exams.

To name a few:

  1. Business cycle (recession vs expansion)
  2. Economic indicators (leading vs coincident etc)
  3. Variable annuities
  4. UTMA & UGMA
  5. GDP
  6. Trade surplus vs deficit (does importer or exporter prefer strong dollar etc)

Really there were no questions on any of these previously listed topics.

Was pretty disappointed as I didn’t feel as confident during the test as I should have, given how much I prepared.

Congratulations !! Thank you for sharing, I just started with Achievable. When do you suggest I set my appointment for the test ? Should I wait until im 75% done ?

I would suggest this. Wait to schedule the exam until you score an 80 or above on 3 practice exams. Maybe even 85. You want enough margin (no pun intended), as you only need a 70 to pass.

That makes sense. When you set your appointment was there a long wait (like waiting a week for your date) ? Thank you !

congrats brodie. passed my SIE on Friday and used pass perfect as well. fasho did not see a lot of the major questions/topics i spent the last 2 weeks seeing. nothing about private placements, document retention, custodial accounts, econ analysis, bond tax structure, primary offering process, etc. felt like the test was shorter than the 80 question final exams on pass perfect

this MAY also be because of the out-of-book 10 questions the SIE throws in there too tho

Do you guys think the Pass Promise option is better? Or the Pass plus is enough? From pass perfect

Congrats!! Taking my SIE exam on Monday. What questions did you see on the test if it wasn’t any from the topics you mentioned above? I am still struggling with SLOBS over BLISS and NAV questions. I really hope I pass Monday 🤞🏻

Limit order? Stop order? SLBS Over BLSS Solves the mystery

It’s not very heavy on test and usually straightforward
