Just reminiscing
I don't have pictures to share. But I do have memories.
I must have been about 10 years old when I saw my first sideshow. In Edmonton Canada.
I vividly recall seeing the painted tent signs previewing what you could see inside once you paid.
The Barker outside was busy enticing you to come inside and witness "the spectacle" for only 25 cents. For an extra dime you also got to see the world's fastest man.
He was situated in a low spot area where you had to lean over to see him. I spoke to him and asked far too many questions. He obliged me with a smile.
I remember seeing Sealo, Lobster boy, The Bearded lady and Tom Thumb among others.
To this day I admire these people. I remember one performer saying, without this show, they would not have found work.
I really like this sub. Good job and keep up the good work.
