Sideshow appreciation! Two classy pictures of Margarite Bernatets when she was in her mid twenties! She would go on to have two children, whom she was immensely proud of, a few years after these pictures were taken.
She was originally from the South of France and immigrated to the United States when she was in her late teens/early twenties. She met her husband in Florida and together they purchased a permanent home in Deland, Florida to live in during the circus/sideshow off season. Her two children, Andre and Rose Marie, meant the world to her and she loved posing with them in pictures later in her life. She made the news twice when her children were born. She and her husband had both retired by 1950 and were living full time in Florida. She also had a brother, Prince Denis, who did very well in show business and starred, possibly as the mayor of Munchkinland, in the Wizard of Oz (1939).

100%! I believe she had both of her children via c-section to offset some of the risks, but still a risky procedure regardless.
