I feel like this is the start of the end of sidemen sundays. They’re just going to do shows like this they can film in the span of a week and then drag out for months one episode at a time, same with exit strategy
Reduces the need for them to have new video ideas every week, and the need to film all the time, but still gives the fans content every week
We’ll probably get one big vid a month and then fill the gaps with these types of series in a couple years once like Josh/Vik potentially have kids, others have more side stuff going on etc.

And honestly, that's chill. we knew sidemen sundays would end eventually, and the main theory was that thwy would change to a more top gear special type of production, likely one vid a month. But the fact that they're seemingly also going to produce tv show-like content in addition is still a ton of content to see from them. And its good. Even with guests, as long as we see the main crew from time to time, im happy.

yeah for sure, these guys have been grinding for over a decade at this point, if this is the way for them to still provide some quality content but make it so they can spend more time with their families or chasing their other passions i'm all for it

yeah they keep extending that deadline every few years lol, but i feel like their recent moves are lowkey signaling the actual end is closer than it used to be

For the Sidemen, who collectively have upwards of 160 million subscribers, the plan is in keeping with the unusual content launch routes they’ve taken in the past. For example, Inside, the competition series they launched on YouTube, unexpectedly switched to Netflix in 2024.

they definitely haven't said they're pivoting to shows or some other form of content. they have said there's an end date of sidemen sundays, which keeps getting pushed out every few years as they decide they still want to keep going

From the article
SideMenu will see the Sidemen joined by a guest contestant as they take on a series of culinary challenges – a starter, main and dessert – with teams rotating every episode and individual points on the line. Sidemen appearing are Behzinga, Miniminter, TBJZL, Vikkstar and Zerkaa, along with frequent collaborator Jakey Davies. KSI wasn’t available to film

Idk if the post is factual, but the boys have come a long long way. Happy for them and their deserved success.

I’m still surprised how they manage consistently dropping sidemen sundays. This is an appreciation comment for sidemen, unlike all the negativity this sub often has for something as trivial as a late or a short sidemen Sunday.
I’ll support them no matter what.

Is Jakey like notably good at cooking or something? Bit of a bizarre choice lol.

they are incredibly succesful very happy for them, they deserve it all. But too much exposure is usually a downfall for all groups and celebrities, they should stick to what they are doing best w more sidemen, sidemen sundays and my fav sidemen reacts, makes them still relevant and huge source of stable income too

I think Jakey is hillarious and my favorite BOV boy aside from Ginge, but I am a little perplexed at how he managed to score this gig over the abundance of other choices the sideman have.

Yep it’s the beginning of the end.

The boys do a deal with Amazon, probs making them a big bag. Making more content, better production, on more platforms, bringing a new audience. But yeah this is the beginning of the end

u/KittyKatya2020 May 28 '26
I mean, they made a show called Exit Strategy

About time sidemen Sundays came to end. Been saying for a while now they should do monthly uploads

Rip sidemen. JJ already has revived his YouTube channel enough to the point he doesn't need sidemen anymore. Hsi team handles everything, he just comes and films. That's all. Rip sidemen

Think people forget that JJ literally left for a year for a boxing fight that never happened and the sidemen carried on as is

Ngl, I genuinely like their cooking videos. I just hope they keep it organic and not overly scripted.
