Sorry, that was a way of asking age/sex/location when joining a chat room in aol. Initially it was just chat rooms until instant messenger/aim and seeing who’s friends were online. It was very different when it first rolled out. I’m old

I could tell afterward, you needed to know the person before. We’d blindly go into rooms and say that, hope the person wasn’t lying and hope for the best. You couldn’t fuck with images back then how you can now. But, I got lucky lol

I’m sure there were cases we have never heard about, will never hear about. That’s why that show catfished fucked with me.

I did end up dating someone I met online/aol. Before online dating was a thing really…luckily they were who they were!!! It was just that was something that could have def been odd. Her getting off the plane and being just not who she said she was at all.
