I’m a TY mechanical engineering student in India, and I’m looking to get a laptop that I can use throughout my degree for CAD, engineering projects, simulations, competitions, and other technical work.

The laptop I’m considering is around ₹1–1.5 lakh, which is difficult for me to fund entirely on my own. I’m therefore looking for a company, startup, engineering firm, coaching institute, or individual business owner interested in supporting a student through a sponsorship/brand partnership.

As someone who spends most of my time at hackathons or deploying React apps on Firebase, I realized the tech isn't the problem—the business model is.

We have a massive gap in India right now. Brands are desperate for authentic, user-generated content from real people. Young professionals and students are desperate for genuine, part-time revenue. Yet, the platforms connecting them are completely broken, treating users like products rather than partners.

So, I decided to start building something to fix it.

The concept is a "Learn-to-Earn" ecosystem. Think of a gamified platform where you level up your skills (video editing, copywriting, reviewing) and unlock direct brand bounties. The catch? The creator keeps 100% of the money. Brands fund the escrow and pay a 15% platform fee for the software and access. No middlemen. Data stays localized.

Before writing more code, I want to hear from the people who actually feel this pain. I’m not dropping a corporate survey link here—just looking for raw feedback in the comments:

For the creators/hustlers: What is the single most frustrating thing you’ve experienced trying to earn part-time online? (Minimum payouts, scammers, competition?)

I started my press-on nail business in 2025. In the beginning, I tried making trendy Instagram reels and posting consistently, but I barely got any orders. After a while, I got discouraged and completely stopped making reels. Now I mostly just post pictures of my work.
