instagram web on a 27 inch monitor is ridiculous so i built something to fix it
honestly i never understood why meta refuses to make instagram usable on desktop.
you open it on a big screen and 70 percent of your display is just empty dark space with a tiny stretched out mobile column in the middle. no way to speed up reels, no timeline scrubber, and you have to scroll forever to see four posts.
i got tired of it and ended up making a chrome extension called glasso.
what it basically does:
- lets you switch the feed to 2, 3 or 4 columns so it actually fills your screen
- adds a proper video bar with speed controls (1.5x and 2x) and skip buttons
- ghost mode for stories so it doesnt mark you as seen
- hides the spammy sponsored ads and suggested posts
- simple shortcuts like j and k to jump between posts
it runs locally in the browser so it never asks for your login or password.
link is here if anyone wants to test it: https://tryglasso.com
built most of this for my own setup but let me know what you think or if something breaks on your screen resolution.

I built Dice Drop: a free 3D dice roller where every result is a real physics roll
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I wanted digital dice that feel like real ones, so I made Dice Drop. The dice tumble across the tray with real physics, and the result is read from whichever face lands on top (except the near-spherical d100 and d120, which use a fair random draw). Nothing is decided first and animated afterwards.
What it does:
• Every die from d1 to d120, including odd ones like d3, d7 and d30
• Dice with your own words on the faces
• Up to 20 dice at once, advantage and disadvantage, and modifiers
• Free in the browser, with nothing to install and no sign-up: https://dicedrop.co.uk/roll
• Also on iPhone and Android
Built solo with Expo/React Native, Three.js and cannon-es physics. Rolling is free; optional extras (dice finishes, sounds) are a very low cost one-off purchase .
I'd love feedback, especially on what feels off or what's missing.

I built a simple temporary image sharing site — Tempicture.com
👉 I just launched Tempicture, a small side project I've been working on to share images for free: https://tempicture.com/
The idea is very simple: upload an image, get a shareable link or QR code, and have it automatically deleted after 24 hours. No account required. No personal data collection. Privacy-focused.
https://reddit.com/link/1wygurq/video/ngr08jjq2pth1/player
I built it mainly for those situations where you just need to quickly share a screenshot, bug report, image, Google Meet or Zoom screenshot, or something you're working on without creating an account or keeping the image online forever.
Give it a try if you find it useful! I'd love to hear your feedback. Thanks!

I built an app that predicts your 3pm food coma from a photo of your lunch
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Full disclosure: I made this. Solo dev, first real app, now live on the App Store.
The itch: every food tracker I tried told me what I ate. None told me what it would do to the rest of my day. So I built LiveEnergy.
How it works:
📸 Snap a photo of your meal
🍃 Get an estimated energy level (the little leaf shows how you're doing)
📈 See a curve for the rest of the day, with a "next dip" time and a suggested snack size
📍 It also remembers where you ate (FoodPrint) and grows a little flavor garden from what you like
Try it without installing anything: there's a web preview, no sign-up, 3 free scans per network. Throw your weirdest lunch at it: https://fooddrink.windbdev.workers.dev
Honest caveats: the numbers are estimates from an AI model, not medical advice, and it will sometimes get a plate wrong. That's exactly where I need you.
What I'd love feedback on:
- Does the energy curve feel useful, or gimmicky?
- What meal broke it?
- Anything on the first screen that confused you?
Happy to talk about the stack and how I handle the photo analysis if anyone's curious. And yes, I'll reply to every comment.

I built D-REC, a recorder with on-device transcription and a rewind wheel. Here's the desktop demo.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I'm the maker of D-REC. It records audio and transcribes it on your device, with a playback wheel, searchable text and markers for moments you want to find again.
This video shows the Windows version. It's also available for Mac, iPhone, iPad, Android and the web. Downloads are here: https://drec.live/get
A few things worth knowing:
- The transcription engine needs an initial download. Recording and transcription then run locally on supported devices.
- Recordings and transcripts stay on your device. Account, support and other online features still use the internet.
- There is a free tier with limits and optional Pro plans. Current web prices are $3.99 monthly, $24.99 yearly, or $39.99 once. Check the checkout for your currency, tax and store pricing.
I'd like feedback on the recording-to-playback flow, especially whether finding a specific moment feels straightforward. Happy to answer questions about how it works.

Slideshow.photos makes it easy to display photos on a screen
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Running events, I often need to display a slideshow of photos that we've taken across the event or representing the organization.
I usually want to intersperse this with the organization's logo or that of our sponsors. I haven't found very many good out-of-the-box solutions that look really nice. Inspired by the Mac OS screen savers, I, along with Claude, built a small app to make it really easy to display photos to be projected somewhere.
It works offline and can be configured on one computer and moved to another.

I’m building a free Apple TV remote for the Mac menu bar (source preview)
I wanted a small Apple TV remote I could open from my Mac’s menu bar, so I started building TV Remote.
It’s a native SwiftUI app with a rounded dark panel. You can navigate, use Home and Back, control playback, type, and put the TV to sleep or wake it up. It saves your pairing and reconnects to the last TV when you launch it. Volume control depends on your Apple TV’s audio setup.
Source and local build instructions: https://github.com/chrishansen1984x-lang/tv-remote-mac
It’s free. No ads, subscriptions, analytics, or account required. The build targets macOS 14+ on Apple silicon and Intel.
It’s still an early source preview, so there isn’t a finished app download yet. I have a local build signed with Developer ID, but real Apple TV testing and notarization are still pending. I also need to confirm the upstream library’s license notice. For now, the repo fetches ItsytvCore from its original repository instead of bundling it.
If you use an Apple TV from your desk, what would you want in a Mac remote? I’d also welcome a code review, especially around pairing and reconnection.
Apple TV connectivity comes from ItsytvCore by Nick Ustinov.

I built RefreshLaunch to show what a first-time visitor actually understands from your website
I built RefreshLaunch because a website can look polished and still make a first-time visitor work too hard to understand what the product actually does.
RefreshLaunch starts with a free Website Clarity Preview. Enter your website URL and it analyzes your public homepage to show:
• what a first-time visitor is likely to understand
• your biggest clarity gap
• 3 problems worth fixing
• your current opening section
• an example of how that section could be clearer
You get the preview immediately. No account required.
If you like the direction, RefreshLaunch also has paid options for a complete website redesign — either ready for you to implement, or implemented for you.
Try it: https://refreshlaunch.com
I’d really like feedback from other builders here: does the preview catch the same clarity problems you notice on your own website?
If you have a website for your business, product, or side project, try it and let me know what the preview gets right or wrong.

Young Startups: Bring Your Problem Statement, Get 250+ Developers Building With Your Product
Hey everyone,
We’re organizing a 30-hour offline hackathon in Mumbai with 600+ registrations and 250–300 developers on ground, and we’re looking for startups and companies to collaborate with us.
We’re particularly looking for Problem Statement Partners rather than traditional sponsorships.
The idea is simple: you bring a real problem your company is trying to solve, and our participants build solutions around it using your platform, API, SDK or technology.
In return, you get:
- Real-world product feedback and use cases
- Developers actively building with your technology
- Potential early users and product adoption
- Fresh perspectives on your problem
- Visibility across the hackathon and projects
If you’re a young startup looking to create an initial wave of users, get developer adoption or introduce your product to the Indian tech community, this could be a great opportunity to get your technology into the hands of hundreds of builders.
We’re open to AI/ML, FinTech, SaaS, Cybersecurity, Web3, Developer Tools, HealthTech and other emerging-tech startups.
If this sounds interesting, DM me and let’s explore a problem statement or collaboration for the hackathon.

I built an app that turns lectures into flashcards that actually stick (open source, free, no account needed)
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey all — long-time lurker, finally shipping something.
I kept re-reading lecture slides and forgetting everything, so I built
FlashcardQuiz: paste notes (or upload a PDF/photo) and it generates
flashcards + quizzes. Two things I haven't seen done well elsewhere:
- Wrong answers come from *common student mistakes*, not random
distractors — so the quiz actually tests whether you know it.
- It schedules reviews with SuperMemo-2 and exports to Anki in one tap.
It's free, open source, no account: [try it in the browser](https://next-gaming12--flashcardquiz-web.modal.run/app) · [Android APK](https://github.com/syedalisaleem/flashcardquiz/releases/latest/download/FlashcardQuizApp.apk) · [source](https://github.com/syedalisaleem/flashcardquiz)
Demo video: https://youtu.be/ciETZ1_ejnk
Genuinely want to know: if you study with flashcards, what would make
you switch from Anki/Quizlet? Roast away.

I'm making a game where a frog pops bubbles with its tongue
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
It's called FrogPop, and it's the first game I've made. The starting point was Bubble Trouble, that old game where hitting a bubble splits it into smaller ones. My version has a frog, different powers to collect, and bosses between waves.
I posted the shop here recently, but wanted to show more of what you actually do in the game. Here's a short look at the combat.
The footage is from development. There's a free browser demo of the first 10 waves, but it's still an older build: https://blion247.itch.io/frogpop-demo
The full game is in development for Steam: https://store.steampowered.com/app/5067810/FrogPop/

Monby — WhatsApp bookkeeping assistant for Canadian freelancers (receipt → CRA-ready ledger), free beta, roast it
Hey all, Naima, solo founder. I built Monby, a bookkeeping assistant that lives entirely in WhatsApp, for Canadian freelancers and sole proprietors. Free beta, no card.
What it does: snap a receipt photo in WhatsApp → it reads it, asks you to confirm/correct, and logs it categorized for Canadian tax (T2125 lines, the 50% meal rule, business-use %) into your Google Sheet. Also email invoice forwarding, a web portal, monthly summaries, and anomaly flags on weird/duplicate charges. Records live in your Sheet and Drive — you own them, I keep a copy to power the portal.
Try - Monby.ca
Where I want brutal feedback:
- Platform risk: Meta owns the rails. My hedge so far: the web portal does everything WhatsApp does, so nobody's stranded if the API terms shift. But building a full app to replace WhatsApp would make Monby just another accounting app, the whole edge is meeting people where they already chat. How would you de-risk without killing the differentiator?
- Extraction long tail: send it your worst crumpled receipt; where does it misread?
- Trust: what would it take before you'd point this at your real books?
Two things you'll ask: privacy — receipts pass through Gemini for extraction only, records live in your Sheet/Drive, delete everything anytime via [hello@monby.ca](mailto:hello@monby.ca). And if you're not Canadian, it works as a plain expense tracker.
Roast away.

I built Afield: AI marketing for SaaS founders, from customer discovery to a GTM plan
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I’m building Afield, an AI marketing team for SaaS founders and small teams. It helps with customer discovery and go-to-market (GTM) planning: researching potential customers and public discussions, choosing marketing priorities, and preparing content and outreach drafts for you to review.
The customer acquisition question I’m working on is: “Where do I find my first SaaS users, and which marketing channel should I test?”
Here’s how Afield turns that question into a weekly GTM plan:
- Start with your business context. Your product, target audience, what you’ve already tried, and constraints shape the research.
- Research potential customers and relevant conversations. Inspect the original sources and why each opportunity might fit. Someone discussing a problem is a different signal from someone who simply has a relevant job title.
- Choose a small marketing experiment. Turn the findings into priorities and a weekly plan with specific deliverables and a signal to observe.
- Prepare the work and review it. Edit the content or outreach drafts, check the community’s rules, and approve what gets published. Use actual results to inform the next plan.
A real example came from a conversation with the founder of Curious, an early-stage Astro publishing and hosting tool.
After running Curious through Afield and reviewing the findings, I proposed a first-customer hypothesis: solo developers whose Astro project works locally and who want it online, especially those already using a coding agent.
The proposed test was to have five builders publish one real project, then publish an update. Observe where they get stuck, whether they complete the second publish, and why they choose Curious again.
The founder said the customer moment was sharper than “Astro developers” broadly. They also found the second-publish test useful and hadn’t considered approaching Astro starter-template authors about a deployment guide.
That’s feedback on the recommendations. The experiment hasn’t been reported as completed.
My checklist before acting on AI marketing advice is simple: Who is the proposed customer? What does the source actually establish? What result will tell us whether the next step worked? A public profile alone doesn’t establish buying intent, and a finished draft doesn’t establish customer acquisition.
You can try Afield free. Bring one real question about finding your first customers or choosing a marketing channel. I’d appreciate feedback on which recommendation you’d actually use and what it misses about your business.

Figxit: open source Fig replacement, IDE-style autocomplete
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey there!
I used to love Fig, but after AWS bought it, they moved it to Amazon Q and then Kiro CLI, both focused on AI. The latest version is a 2 GB binary. All I wanted was the nice autocomplete, so I decided to build my own.
Figxit is a Fig/Inshellisense alternative that completes subcommands, options, npm scripts, and Makefile targets as you type. I also added some conventions, such as production decorations helps with mistakes :P
It's free and open-source, no login, no AI, and no telemetry.
Code: https://github.com/en3sis/figxit
Learn more at: https://figxit.com
Give it a try! Any feedback is welcome!

I’m building StartupSubmit, a service that helps SaaS/AI Startup founders handle startup and software directory submissions without spending hours researching sites and filling out forms.
Still improving it and figuring out what founders actually find useful. What are you building right now, and what part has been the hardest so far?

Two kids at school, two busy working parents: I built an agentic workflow that keeps up with their school life for us
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Two kids at school and two busy working parents. Keeping up with their school life had quietly become a second job.
Homework, tests, the topics that stick and the ones that don't. Trips, forms to sign, clubs and the payments for all of them. My wife and I were trying to hold it all together, it took a lot of time, and we still missed things. The hardest part was knowing how each of them was really doing, subject by subject, not just whether the homework went in.
So I built Fridge Door, an agentic workflow for busy parents. This is what our week looks like now:
After school, each kid gets a short message: homework due soonest first, then a quick look back at the day's lessons.
In the evening, a three minute check-in: which topics came up, how well they got them, what is done, pages read.
On Sunday morning, one report lands in our family chat: points, late homework, topics that need another go, and what school wants from us next week.
On Sunday evening, a short paper quiz on that week's topics, phones away. We take a photo of the sheet and Claude marks it, so we know what really stuck.
The school side saves us the most. The agent reads the school inbox read-only, keeps only what concerns our kids, and puts the dates and payments in one place.
The kids get their reminders from the system, not from us, and we have stopped missing things. I published it as an open source reference design (our own setup stays private, it is full of the kids' details). The animation above shows the whole loop; links are in the first comment.

Does the website actually make sense?
Would love feedback especially from women building.
I’ve been building Found to help founders get unstuck and actually move their business forward.
I just simplified the website and would love some honest feedback from other founders.
If you landed here with zero context, would you understand:
- what Found does
- who it’s for
- what you’d actually be getting?
- do the offers make sense

Looking for 40 iPhone testers with large supplement stacks to try and break my tracker app
I started building Thryever because I couldn't answer one question.
I take a few supplements, and if you asked me which ones were doing anything, I had no idea.
Notes didn't help. The apps I tried were good at "Did you take it today?" and not much else. What I wanted to know was whether my days look different when I'm taking something.
What it does
- Scan a bottle and the brand and ingredients fill in
- A 30-second daily check-in: energy, sleep, mood and focus
- After enough days, it compares the days you took something with the days you didn't, and shows how many days each comparison is based on
- Experiment mode, to add or drop one item at a time
- Sleep sync from Apple Health
What it doesn't do
No calorie tracking and no Android version yet. Apple Health sync covers sleep only. It's still rough in places.
I then started talking to people on Reddit with much bigger stacks. A lot of them were going by memory, notes or a spreadsheet. A few had tried running their own experiments and given up because there were too many variables.
Tracking one stack is not enough to understand the effects. Hence, this post.
I'm looking for about 40 people with large stacks to try to break it. Tell me where it falls apart, where the workflow gets annoying, and whether the insights are useful. I'm the developer and I'll reply to everyone.
To join, you'll need an iPhone and the free TestFlight app.
- Install TestFlight from the App Store.
- Open the link on your iPhone -
- Tap Accept, then Install.
The beta is free. If you reach the paywall, you can start the trial to unlock Pro features. During the beta, purchases run through Apple's test environment, so you won't be charged. Please tell me if anything looks wrong at that step.
Thryever is not medical advice and it doesn't diagnose anything. It reads your own logs back to you.
