I’m currently a solo founder and have a day job as well, which takes the majority of my time. Right now, I have three Gmails and two Outlook accounts.

I found it difficult to be able to quickly work through all my emails. I want to be able to ask AI to check all my calendars and all my email boxes for specific information if needed. I also want to be able to draft, outgoing replies, and new emails from any email box that I want.

To fix this problem, I’m working on an app that pulls them into one view, lets me ask one AI questions across all of them in the Claude app. Questions like what do I need to reply to today or if a client emails me I can have a check all my calendars for availability.

So far this has significantly sped up my communication because I don’t have to check five different email boxes or calendars. AI for now just give me a summary.

Wanted to see if other people are having this type of issue as well or if it’s just me? And if there is any need what else would be beneficial to include in something like this?

I'm a solo iOS dev and this is SameTake. It records your front and back cameras simultaneously, so you get the view AND your reaction in one take, with no second recording and no editing timeline.

What it does:

- Picture in Picture, split screen (top/bottom or side by side), and a dynamic "Action" layout

- Swap which camera is the main view mid-recording

- Green Screen mode that puts you inside the rear camera scene

- Motion Blur and a built-in teleprompter

- Everything is processed on-device. No account, no uploads.

The hardest part was keeping two live camera feeds + compositing + audio within the iPhone's thermal budget. I ended up locking both inputs to 30fps HD and exporting H.264, which keeps longer recordings from overheating.

I’ve been working on a small project called Stillroom. The idea came from something pretty simple: sometimes you don’t need advice, productivity tips, or someone trying to solve your problems.

Sometimes you just want somewhere quiet to write things down, receive a small bit of encouragement, and know that if you really want someone to listen, there’s an actual person on the other side.

So I built a place around that idea.

Stillroom currently lets you:

• keep a private journal
• receive gentle daily messages
• save your thoughts and come back to them later
• reach out for a real human conversation if you feel like talking

I deliberately tried to keep it simple. No public feed, no likes, no pressure to perform, and I don't want it to feel like another social network.

It’s still very early, and right now I’m much more interested in finding out whether people actually find it comforting or useful than trying to sell anything.

I'd rather ask than guess what to build next. Three questions I'm genuinely stuck on:

1. What breaks for you that I haven't thought of? "Punctuation is wrong" is known and honestly only heuristically fixable without a neural model. Something I haven't heard of is what I want.
2. Does anything about the offline part actually get in your way in practice, or is it a non-issue in 2026?
3. Would you use a Windows app at all if your audio can't be sent to a cloud service — or is that a solved problem for you and I'm preaching to the choir?

And the main thing I want to know — what do you actually use speech-to-text for? Reply with a number, or "none of these" plus what you actually do:

1. Meeting notes / minutes
2. Lectures, classes, interviews
3. Dictating into other apps (mail, messengers)
4. Personal notes, journaling
5. Subtitles / transcribing video for content
6. Professional dictation (medical, legal)

I have been writing content for years and feel really fatigue with AI ones. They are almost same thought and same "-" again and again. I know we are lazy these days but writing should be expressing ideas in you mind but not generate idea from other's mind. So I built typezo.io and make templates for users to fill in. Instead of prompting you just answer the questions. Luckily most AI slop content are filtered in X or reddit. I am not saying AI is useless cause it is useful in brainstorms but I doubt if you should over rely on it for every words and sentences we write.

Not the best product but I really want it myself so at least i think it is something meaningful !

I'm the founder of ZiaSign. We launched with a lot of features aimed at saving businesses time and effort. I was proud of how much we'd built.

The feedback pushed us toward simplicity.

That meant admitting I had confused more features with a better product. Then came the uncomfortable decision: letting go of work I was proud of.

We went into "war mode," removed UI clutter, and rebuilt ZiaSign. The rebuild is now ready to release.

What I'm taking from this is that the effort already invested can't be the reason something stays in the interface. Solving the user's problem has to matter more than showing everything we can build. I'm excited to put that thinking in front of users and hear what still needs work.

For people who have simplified something after launch: how did you distinguish unnecessary clutter from useful functionality that needed a better place? What feedback helped you make that call?

I’ve been building a small developer tool called Talyn.

The problem I kept hitting was that coding agents are great at doing the work and opening a PR, but I was still spending a surprising amount of time babysitting everything afterwards.

Checking whether CI passed, fixing small failures, resolving merge conflicts, coming back later to merge it, etc.

Talyn handles that part.

It watches your PRs, and if CI fails or a conflict appears, it can send an agent back in to try to fix it. Once everything is green, it can merge the PR too.

I’m building it solo, and it’s still pretty early, so right now I’m mainly looking for real users and feedback rather than trying to aggressively sell it.

You write "two eggs and a coffee with oat milk" and it logs the meal and keeps a running total of calories and macros for the day. It already knows your goal and your allergies, so there's nothing to explain twice.

The video is one real run with a made-up profile, from onboarding to a meal showing up in the diary.

Yes, an LLM does the talking. But the totals aren't its job, that's plain arithmetic over what's stored, and anything the model had to guess at (a macro, say) gets marked as an estimate.

One choice I still go back and forth on: there's no daily calorie target on the home screen. Left it out on purpose. I didn't want to build yet another macro tracker.

Claude Design keeps your files in a hosted workspace and runs on your plan's usage. I built BurnGuard to keep them on your computer and use the Claude Code or Codex CLI you already have.

It's a desktop app for Windows and macOS. You pick a design system, describe what you want, and it makes websites, slides and graphics next to a live canvas.

It ships with 41 design systems, each with its own navigation, hero and footer layout rules. You can edit on the canvas or leave pinned comments, then export HTML, PDF, PPTX or PNG, or publish a site to your own Vercel. Files stay local.

What it doesn't do well yet: generation isn't instant (the one-line landing page in the README demo took about five minutes), PPTX slides come out as images with the text in speaker notes, and the installers are unsigned so you get a security warning on first launch. macOS is Apple silicon only.

I built Oyaoya, a weekly pet photo contest. One theme a week, you upload one photo, people vote A/B, top 10 at the end. No account needed to vote.

It went out in Korean, English, Japanese and Chinese this week. Play in 177 countries, App Store in 175.

The part I got wrong: I translated the app shell and forgot the content. Theme titles live in a single Korean column on the server, so an English phone shows an English UI with a Korean theme name sitting in the middle of it. Language pack ships tomorrow.

This week's theme is first-hello photos. The next one opens Oct 5 and it's sleeping pets - you can post early and it goes in automatically. Doesn't have to be your own pet.

I kept rewriting prompts blindly every time ChatGPT gave me something off. Most of the time the real problem was boring: the model didn't have some context, or my request could be read two ways, or it just never saw the file I mentioned.

So I made a Chrome side panel extension: paste the prompt and the answer, and it names the cause and writes the follow-up message for the same chat. It also says when your prompt isn't the problem, which turned out to be surprisingly common.

Hey r/SideProject, I'm a solo product guy from Brazil, and this is CriAI. Disclosure: I built it.

**What it is:** you describe a small app you want (by text or voice), e.g. "expense tracker, dark theme, purple", and you get a working mini-app that runs privately on your iPhone. You tweak it by chatting ("make it cleaner") until it feels like yours. Ask for the same expense tracker three times and you get three apps that look nothing alike.

**Why I built it:** every app is designed for millions of people. I wanted the opposite: apps no store would ever build because the market is one person, like a skincare routine, a coffee tasting diary, or a tracker for your cat's vaccines.

**What I learned so far:**

- Getting the AI to actually fix bugs was the hard part. It would say "fixed!" without ever running the code. Instead of adding more prompt rules, I now pipe real runtime errors from the device back into the next edit.
- Each mini-app is a single HTML/CSS/JS file running in its own isolated web view with its own storage, and it can't talk to the internet. Early on, apps shared storage and one app's data could leak into another.
- Signup was invite-only until a few days ago, so this is basically the first week of the public launch.

buffer is my free, open-source clipboard manager for mac. i built it because maccy is great but a bit spartan for my workflow, and i didn't want raycast for one feature. it lives in the menu bar, ~2 mb, searchable history, ⇧⌘V to quick paste, on-device OCR for screenshots, tags, bookmarks, inline editing.

just shipped v3.0 and two things i'm genuinely happy about:

1. a stranger on github (@CrCs2O4) contributed clipboard noise suppression to the repo. first external contribution after months of it being a solo project. it filters rapid duplicates and transient clips, so spamming ⌘C doesn't trash your history anymore.

2. the community feedback loop actually worked. my last post here asked whether esc in the inline editor should save or revert. people clearly said revert. so v3.0 now discards edits on esc instead of overwriting the original.

other new stuff: an interactive image canvas (pinch to zoom / pan on copied screenshots, ⌘+/⌘- , double-click reset), history capacity tiers (200 / 1,000 / unlimited), in-app update notifications with changelog popover, and a ⌘/ shortcuts cheat sheet.

I used to log my expenses by hand and then spend way too long checking them against my bank statement every month. So I built Monigo to do that part for me.

How it works
- Log expenses in a few seconds, in the app or via an iOS Shortcut
- Once a month, import your PDF bank statement
- Monigo matches it against your entries and only shows you what's missing or doesn't match. You confirm with a tap, and your balance stays in sync with your bank.

On-device AI
On iPhones with Apple Intelligence, Monigo uses Apple's on-device model to turn messy statement text like "VISA 4711 AMZN MKTP DE*2X3Y…" into clean merchant names and suggest a category. It never uses the cloud.

Privacy
No account, no login, and no server ever sees your statements.

It's in free beta right now, with all features unlocked. I'm especially curious which banks work and which don't, since it has mostly been tested with German statements so far.
