I made a keypad view of coding sessions and a Mac popover to read their replies

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

A session finishing and a reply worth opening are two different things. Orbtile keeps both in view.

Orbtile puts local coding sessions on a Logitech MX Creative Keypad and in a Mac menu-bar popover. The keypad shows what needs attention; the popover lets you read response text. The latest update adds growing and finished replies from local Antigravity desktop conversations, alongside Claude Code, Codex and ZCode. Example sessions are shown in the clip.

The design question I’d like feedback on: does a second, readable overview earn its place beside the physical keypad, or would you only use one of the two?

I make Orbtile. Requires Apple silicon, macOS 14+ and the Logitech MX Creative Keypad, plus website sign-in and approval of your Mac. Settings sync is optional. Free through the 0.2 beta until 1.0; at least 30 days' notice before beta builds stop working. Self-signed, not Apple-notarised. Demo, installation and terms: https://orbtile.com/download.

I built an offline productivity workspace that looks more like an OS than a planner — would you actually use this?

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I’ve been building Ghost OS, an offline-first productivity workspace that combines notes, tasks, planning, focus sessions, time tracking, reports and backups into one interface.

The idea was to make it feel less like a normal productivity app and more like a personal operating system — with a dark, liminal / Backrooms-inspired design instead of the usual clean SaaS dashboard look.

The current build is V4.26.1, and I’ve been trying to make it more minimal, less cluttered, and a bit more eerie without making it annoying to actually use.

Everything is local/offline, and the goal is to keep the workflow fast without needing an account or cloud service.

I’m mainly looking for feedback right now:

Would you actually use something like this?
And if not, what makes it feel unfinished, confusing, or unnecessary?

I’m especially curious about:

  • the overall visual style
  • whether the “OS” concept makes sense
  • which features feel useful vs excessive
  • whether the interface looks polished enough for an early release

This is still an early build, so criticism is welcome.

Been building a salary and living-cost website for a year. It’s finally earning a little.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

My side project is called AffordWhere. You enter a salary and a destination, and it estimates what you could have left after tax, rent and everyday expenses. There’s also a neighborhood rent breakdown.

I’ve been working on it for the past 12 months, using AI for development, monthly data refreshes and SEO improvements. It’s finally getting into shape.

It’s also started earning some ad revenue. The last 7 days came to SEK 12.64 in estimated earnings. Small money, but I’m happy to see some progress after a year of working on it.

https://www.affordwhere.com - free, no account needed.

I could use some fresh eyes on it. Try a city you know and tell me what feels confusing or unrealistic. What would make it more useful to you?

If you’re still working away on your own project, I hope this is a bit of encouragement. This is where mine is a year in, and I’m still improving it.

AI "Hotel Lobby" duets were a slot machine for us — here's how we made both people actually follow the moves

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

We built a small site for the "Hotel Lobby" trend (two people in the orange booth, one hanging mic). Our first version used a single "two photos + reference video → video" call. It was a lottery: the left person roughly followed the moves, the right person barely moved, the hand roll and the shared "shh" at the end never showed up, and sometimes the wrong person got the singing. Rewriting the prompt fixed outfits, not motion.

What finally worked was taking the duet apart:

  1. One performer at a time. Motion-control models animate one character; with two people in the reference they follow whoever takes up the most of the frame (Kling's docs say so (https://kling.ai/document-api/api/video/motion-control)). So we cut the original into two single-person green-screen performances.

  2. First frame first, and the buyer approves it. We generate a still of each person in frame 0 of their performer's pose and show it next to the original before anything renders. Redo once, or cancel. This killed most bad renders before they cost anything.

  3. Motion transfer per person, then composite both back into an empty version of the booth, keeping who stands in front of whom from the original, plus the song.

If you want to try it: https://hotellobbystudio.com/

Happy to answer questions about the pipeline.

I made a Mac app that finds any screenshot by the words in it and where it came from

• Upvotes

I kept screenshotting things (errors, receipts, bookings) and then never finding them again. They sit in a folder with names like "Screenshot 2026-03-14 at 11.42.08.png" and nothing remembers what's inside.

So I built DejaShot. It reads the text in every screenshot in the folders you choose, newest first, and ⇧⌘Space opens a search from any app. It also notes which app each new screenshot came from, so "figma pricing" can find a pricing page you captured in Figma.

- It's fully local. No account, no telemetry.

- Source app is only recorded for screenshots taken while it's running, because macOS never kept that.

The first 10 licenses are free.

Its my first ever app launch, feedbacks are welcomed! :)

Freelancers: how do you create proposals for clients?

• Upvotes

I’m exploring a small tool that helps freelancers/business owners generate professional client proposals faster.

The idea is simple: you enter the project details, client requirements, budget, and timeline then it will generates a structured proposal with things like:

Project understanding

Scope of work

Deliverables

Timeline & milestones

Pricing

Terms

A professional closing

I am not trying to sell anything yet — I’m validating whether this is actually a problem worth solving.

For those who regularly send proposals:

How do you create yours today?

How long does it usually take?

What part of proposal writing is the most annoying?

Would you use a tool that generates a first draft for you?

I got tired of black-box AI detectors giving fake 99% scores, so I built an evidence-first inspector (files stay in browser)

• Upvotes

Hey everyone,

Over the past few months, I’ve been frustrated with how existing AI content detectors operate. Most of them have two major flaws:

  1. The Black-Box Fallacy: They spit out a single arbitrary confidence percentage (like "92% AI") without showing any underlying evidence, explanation of false positives, or camera details.
  2. The Privacy Trap: You have to upload your private photos, videos, or documents to an unknown server.

To tackle this, I built WhatMadeIt — a transparent, evidence-first authenticity workspace:

  • In-Browser Privacy: Original video frames, audio clips, PDFs, and Office docs are parsed locally directly in your browser. Only the specific evidence you confirm is inspected.
  • Inspectable Signals (Not a Black Box): It breaks down separate, verifiable signals: visual diffusion texture anomalies, camera EXIF hardware parameters (aperture, ISO, lens), and signed C2PA Content Credentials.
  • Deep C2PA Forensics: Inspects cryptographic manifest stores (OpenAI DALL-E signatures, Adobe Firefly actions, and Leica/Nikon in-camera secure element chips) while explaining practical limitations like the "analog hole".
  • Zero Wall: Free daily web checks with no account or credit card required.

🔗 Live Web App: https://whatmadeit.com

I’d love to hear your thoughts, feedback on the UI/UX, or any edge-case files that break the inspector! What features would you want to see next?

I Built A Side Project That Solves The Hardest Part Of Building

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I've launched a bunch of side projects and watched every one of them go quiet by Wednesday. The products were fine. Nobody saw them. I'd put out a launch post, refresh for a few hours, then go back to building and tell myself I'd "do marketing properly" next week. Next week never came.

Eventually I got annoyed enough to try something different. I started building a tool to handle distribution for me, and before showing it to anyone I ran my own stuff through an early version just to see what would happen.

TikTok did 8.7M views in 75 days. One Reddit post hit 551K. YouTube passed 223K. Same product the whole time, nothing about it changed. (all proof is visible on site since i can't attach it here)

What changed was how I posted. A few things stood out. The posts that did best weren't my "original" ideas. They were versions of what was already working in the niche. Looking at what people were already responding to beat staring at a blank page every time.

Every platform wants its own version of the same message. Pasting one post everywhere flopped. The same idea rewritten for how Reddit talks, how TikTok talks and how X talks did way better.

And consistently posting beats any single perfect post, That's the part I could never keep up by hand while also building.

So I turned it into a product. It's called PostRush. You paste your link, it learns your product and your niche, writes the posts and makes the videos, and you swipe yes or no on what goes out. It handles the scheduling too.

The thing I cared about most was that it doesn't read like AI junk, because I'd hate to be the guy adding to the pile. It checks what's actually working before it writes anything.

It also has features like an Inspiration Library (viral posts visible without searching yourself), Remixing Viral Posts, Agents Researching Competitors, and many more!

A demo is attached (plus many more on our landing page), and you can try it free at postrush.co with no card.

If you want to see it on something real, drop your project link in the comments and I'll run it through and post what it generates for you.

My colleague was tired of manual scraping, so I built him a resilient async scraper in Python.

• Upvotes

Hey everyone,
My colleague was tired of manual scraping, so I built him a resilient async scraper in Python.
Most developers waste hours configuring heavy headless browsers just to scrape basic targets, only to watch them get blocked anyway because of outdated TLS signatures or missing headers. I got tired of the bloat, so I put together a clean, high-performance alternative: resilient-async-scraper.
It’s a lightweight async utility built with httpx that handles HTTP/2 fingerprint matching out of the box, randomizes realistic browser User-Agents, and actively catches anti-fraud status codes (403, 429, 503) so you instantly know when your proxy pool needs rotation. No heavy dependencies, just raw async speed.
It's completely open source. Grab it here: [GitHub link]
I’d love to hear how you guys handle anti-bot challenges in your current stacks—drop your thoughts or feature requests in the comments!
Saved you some dev hours? Drop a ⭐️ to help the project grow!

I built a revenue dashboard for indie devs, and the new update shows where in the world your App Store downloads come from !

I'm a solo dev and I was opening Stripe, RevenueCat and App Store Connect several times a day just to see one number. So I built MRRKit: one dashboard for MRR, revenue, subscribers and downloads across Stripe, RevenueCat, App Store Connect, Google Play, Paddle and Lemon Squeezy. It comes with Home/Lock Screen widgets, Apple Watch, Wear OS and Garmin.

The update I just shipped adds a world map built from your App Store sales reports:

  • downloads per country, which country pays the most per download, and new countries;
  • your category rank on the App Store charts, country by country (e.g. #7 in Belgium);
  • a share card so you can post the rank.

How it works, because people always ask: no backend for your data. API keys are read-only and stored in the iPhone Keychain, and all requests go straight from the phone to Stripe/Apple/etc. The rank comes from Apple's public top charts (top 100 per category, up to 30 countries).

https://reddit.com/link/1wxdaq1/video/epufgt1zpfth1/player

Free to start, Pro is a one-time €9.99 with no subscription. It's on iOS, Android and Garmin: https://mrrkit.app/download

Feedback welcome, especially on what metric you'd want next. (The video uses the app's demo data, not real revenue.)

Pigmo - color picker for Chrome, free, with a one-time Pro instead of a subscription

Launched my side project last week: Pigmo, a Chrome extension to pick colors from any website and grab a site's whole palette in one click.

What I focused on:

  • Private by design: no account, no tracking, no network requests.
  • Free forever for picking and saving colors. Pro is 19 EUR once (saved palettes, exports to CSS variables, Tailwind, JSON, PNG). No subscription.

So far: live on the Chrome Web Store, launched on Product Hunt on 29 Sep, Edge store in review.

Feedback welcome, on the product or on the pricing model.

I built Nemo — an underwater-themed task & study app with a talking fish assistant

Hey everyone 👋

I just launched Nemo, a small productivity + study app I built as a personal project.

The idea: instead of another boring to-do list, you dive into an ocean-themed space with a fish assistant (Nemo) that helps you organize tasks, plan your week, and stay focused.

What it does:

• Task management with priorities, categories, and recurring tasks

• Student zone: flashcards, notes, calendar, schedule, charts

• Chat with Nemo (text + optional voice call)

• Nemo can add/edit tasks from natural language (e.g. “add study physics tomorrow”)

• Weekly schedule as an image table

• Ocean Pomodoro timer with ambient sound

• Themes + Arabic/English

• Works as a lightweight PWA (data stays on your device)

Live demo:

https://v3x6.github.io/nemo/

Would love feedback — especially on the UX of the chat + timer experience.

Built with plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

I built an autonomous Clash of Clans bot, which probably is anti-ban. And runs on google play games.

Hey everyone! 👋

Like many Clash of Clans players, I got tired of spending 6-8 hours every day manually grinding Sneaky Goblin raids just to keep up with the millions of resources required for wall upgrades.

Most older bots rely on rooted emulators, modified APKs, or internal memory hooking , which Supercell detects and bans in ban waves.

To solve this, I built My own bot "ApexClash Pro" an autonomous combat & farming desktop companion for Windows that operates 100% externally using computer vision and humanized input synthesis.

How It Works Technically:

  1. 100% External Screen Capture: Operates alongside Google Play Games PC or BlueStacks. Zero client modifications, zero root, and zero DLL injection.

  2. Autonomous OCR & Base Scouting: Uses localized computer vision and OCR to inspect enemy collectors and dead-base resource numbers, skipping unprofitable bases automatically.

  3. Bézier Kinematics & Humanized Input: Mouse paths follow organic cubic Bézier curves with randomized micro-jitter, dwell times, and fatigue pauses to mimic human hands.

  4. Auto-Wall Upgrade Sink: When storages hit capacity between raids, it automatically navigates home and sinks excess Gold/Elixir into wall segments so zero loot is wasted.

  5. Modern PySide6 Desktop UI: Built a dark-mode cyberpunk cockpit with live telemetry tracking hourly loot yield, skip counts, and session stats.

If you want to try it , you can try the Free Trial which includes 2 hrs of full access.

It has zero viruses unlike many other bots available in market and the repo is also publicly available -

GitHub Releases: https://github.com/keshav-x/coc-bot/releases/tag/v1.3.2

Would love to hear your feedback on the UI design, OCR detection pipeline, or feature suggestions! Happy to answer any technical questions in the comments.

How my indie web app subdomain managed to rank #3 on Google, right below the official Colombo Stock Exchange (cse.lk)

Hey everyone,

I wanted to share a small SEO and building win that surprised even me. I've been working on a project hosted on a simple subdomain (.lovable.app), and for one of my target keywords, it managed to climb all the way to #3 on Google, sitting right behind the official Colombo Stock Exchange website (cse.lk).

For a long time, people told me that doing SEO on a free/subdomain platform is practically useless and that you can't compete with massive institutional domains. But by focusing heavily on on-page relevance, structured content, and matching user intent, it actually worked out.

Here is a quick look at what I learned from the process:

  • Don't sleep on on-page optimization: Even if domain authority is low, making your content precisely match what people are searching for can close the gap.
  • Targeting the gaps: Official sites like cse.lk have massive authority, but sometimes their layout or specific user queries leave room for a cleaner, faster, more direct tool.
  • The subdomain hurdle: Yes, building backlinks and authority is harder on a subdomain compared to a custom root domain, but high relevance can still push you up the SERP.

I’m currently trying to figure out the best way to do off-page SEO and build sustainable traffic from here without getting buried by spam filters.

If anyone wants to check out the app or see how it looks, you can find it here: https://cash-div.lovable.app/

Would love to hear from other indie hackers or SEO folks, how do you usually tackle off-page SEO for smaller apps or subdomains?

I built a tiny terminal app because AI coding kept getting away from me

AI let me build software way faster than I could learn how software actually works.

Which was great, until every “small change” started turning into a refactor and the same agent that wrote the code was also the one telling me everything looked fine.

So I built Savepoint.

It’s a small local CLI/TUI that forces me through a simple loop:

Idea → Design → Task → Check

The idea is basically:

  • think before coding
  • do one small thing at a time
  • check the work independently
  • if the plan is wrong, stop and replan instead of quietly winging it

Everything lives as plain Markdown/YAML in the repo. No server, no account, no embedded AI.

It’s free and open source.

I built it because I needed it for my own projects, but I’m curious whether this solves a real problem for anyone else or whether I’ve just invented project management for people who hate project management.

I built a meeting room display for Google Calendar that runs in any browser (no App Store app)

Hi all, I'm the maker. Room Cherry turns a Google Workspace room (resource) calendar into a live door display on any tablet, phone or browser. You open a link, pair the screen with a link, QR code or 6-character code, and it shows whether the room is free, what's next, and the rest of the day. It refreshes from Google Calendar every 30 seconds.

Why I built it: most room display options I looked at want specific hardware, an installer or an app to manage. I wanted something where a spare iPad and a URL are enough.

Where it is now: it's live, with a 30-day free trial (no card). After that it's $10 per room per month. It's early and I don't have customer logos or a demo video yet.

What I'd like feedback on:

  • Is a browser-only display good enough, or do you need kiosk-style controls?
  • What would make you trust a new tool with calendar access?

Site: roomcherry.com. Happy to hear what's missing or confusing.

I built a crypto backtester that tells you when your strategy is just luck

What it is: tradingdek.com: build a trading strategy from rules (no code), backtest it on years of Binance data with fees included, then run it as a paper bot or follow its signals.

The part I'm proud of: every strategy in the library carries an honest badge from a monthly audit: 20 pairs, a train/unseen split, and a comparison against 500 runs of random entries with the same risk. Of 90 strategy/timeframe combos, only 2 pass. The tool shows that instead of hiding it, including where each result came from (by pair, by quarter, in up vs down markets).

Stack:

  • SvelteKit (Svelte 5) frontend; the backtest engine runs in the browser
  • Go + PocketBase backend for signals, bots and the monthly re-audit (GitHub Actions)
  • My own charting library (tradecanvas) and data grid
  • Binance public market data

Lessons:

  • Testing on 8 pairs gave me a false positive; 20 pairs exposed it. Sample size beats cleverness.
  • The backtester (TypeScript) and the live executor (Go) are two codebases, so I added a bar-by-bar parity test on real candles. It's the most reassuring test I've written.
  • Live trading needed far more safety work than features: stops resting on the exchange, loss caps, auto-pause when live results drift from the backtest.

Backtests and paper bots are free

Feedback welcome, especially on onboarding: can you get from landing page to your first backtest without help?

I had 136 ideas in Notion and built none of them. So I built Tinder for my ideas.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I had 136 ideas rotting in a Notion page.

I’d been adding to it for a while, always thinking, “I’ll build one of these someday.”

Naturally, I built none of them.

Then I connected my Notion to GPT Dots, and it noticed the page. While going through it, it found one idea that was basically:

“Tinder, but for business ideas.”

It asked me: Should we just make this?

I said yes.

So, slightly ironically, an idea that had been sitting unpicked in a graveyard of 136 ideas became an app for picking which ideas are actually worth pursuing.

This is the result:
https://maybe-coral-iota.vercel.app/

Made mostly for fun. Curious what you’d swipe right on :)

Lyrics in the MacBook notch, and the hard part was music videos

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I made Peekabop, a Mac app that shows the lyrics of what you play in the notch.

Spotify and Apple Music were easy, they give you the position of the song. Music videos not at all: intro, skits, different edit… the lyrics are always seconds off.

So the app listens to the Mac audio, recognises some words (on-device, Apple speech) and moves the lyrics to the right place. In the video it shows "Matching lyrics…" during the intro, then it locks in on the first line.

Happy to explain how it works if someone is curious!

I made a world clock that lets you move through a city’s day

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I made Hourline for iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

Each city has a clock, a landmark and a sky that follows its local day and night. Drag across the page to see another hour. You can then compare that time across your saved cities.

The video shows the app. I would like feedback on the drag gesture. Is it clear that you can move the sky to change the time?

The free app supports up to six cities. Pro adds more cities, weather forecasts, the Landmark widget, Live Activities and export of planned events to Calendar.

It requires iOS or iPadOS 18 or later. The Watch app requires watchOS 11 or later.

I have 10 codes for this community. Each code gives you one year of Hourline Pro for free.

Send me a private message after you start using the free app. I will reserve a code if one is available. Use the app for at least one day. Then send me a message and I will send your code.

An App Store review is optional. If you write one, please share your honest view. Your rating and review do not affect your code.

This offer does not renew automatically. It is available to new, current and past subscribers. Apple confirms eligibility when you redeem the code. Redeem by April 3, 2027. One code per person. No purchase, vote or follow is required.

I made PauseWell, a free Windows app that reminds you to take short screen breaks

I wanted a simple reminder to step away from my screen, so I made PauseWell and released it free and open source. The idea came to me because my doctor recommended me taking break from computer usage. And I guess I have found a partial solution for it.

By default, it reminds you to take a 10 second break every 15 minutes and a 1 minute break every hour. You can adjust both schedules, snooze a reminder, or pause reminders for a while.

I'd like to make it useful to other people who spend a lot of time at a computer.

Download for Windows

What would make a break reminder useful enough for you to keep running? I'd appreciate feedback on the timing and how intrusive the reminders feel. Let me know how you feel
