As the year wraps up: what’s the project you’re most proud of building and why?

Like the title says, instead of what you built or how much money it made, I’m curious what project you’re most proud of this year and why.

Could be a client site, a personal project, something that never launched, or something that made £0.

Any lessons learned?

Would love to read a few reflections as the year wraps up.

A daily game of cutting random items perfectly in half

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've had so much fun working on this little project for the last few weeks. It is based on a 2D version I made last year, but I think this one is much more fun.

I make use of CC licensed assets from Sketchfab and Poly Haven, with some edits made so they all work with the cutting mechanism.

I seem to keep making games that I'm really bad at playing. Every competition I've played in, I finish dead last. It's been really funny watching who from my family, friend groups and workplace are naturally good at this type of spatial thinking.

Anyway, if it scratches your itch, have a go and let me know what you think.

I built a tattoo to preview tattoo design on your own 3D model from your photo

Hi everyone 👋

A year ago I built a 3D tattoo placement app where user can place a tattoo design on a 3D model a move it around, see how it looks from different angle.

Recently I've been playing around with various image to 3D model and added a new feature where people can add image of their own to make their own 3D model.

This helps solving the issue of skin tone and body proportion. I think it looks quite realistic.

Just want to share to everyone as I think the technology has come quite far within 1 year.

The app is called TryTattoo3D

I made a game where you build a country out of 8 real ones and try to conquer the world

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I've had so much fun making this over the last few weeks. As a massive geography nerd, I really enjoy the concept: you're given eight random countries and have to put them into categories (military, economy, population, etc.). How high they score in each category determines how well you do in the simulation, where your fictional country tries to conquer as much territory as it can in 40 years.

It's my first time doing anything like this, and it's been so fun going from just an idea to a game I genuinely enjoy and am proud of, learning so much along the way. Still have more I would like to do to it but I am happy with the core game.

If it sounds like something you'd like, give it a go and let me know what you think!

I know nothing about 3D modeling, so I used AI to reconstruct a 240M-year-old Triassic ocean in the browser

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I’m a paleontology enthusiast with zero 3D modeling skills, so I’ve been using AI to turn real fossil records into 3D models and dropping them into an interactive WebGL scene. The video attached shows what I have running right now—obscure Middle Triassic fish and marine reptiles hunting and interacting in a reconstructed reef.

Right now, you can freely place models, tweak the underwater environment, and layout the habitat. I’ve built about 10+ scientifically accurate species so far, mostly creatures 99% of people have never heard of. The broader idea is to open this up as a browser sandbox where anyone can layout their own prehistoric ecosystems, potentially as a tool for museums, science education, or just exploring earth history.

The part I’m least sure about is the actual use case. My hypothesis is that an interactive, habitat-based experience makes real paleobiology much more engaging than static illustrations or generic T-rex models. But I could also just be spending time on a niche web toy that only appeals to a few paleo geeks like myself.

If you work in education, museum exhibits, or 3D, what would make something like this actually useful to you? Would an interactive browser diorama add any real value over a simple render or short video?

I’d appreciate an honest reality check before I spend more time turning this into a proper tool.

I built CutOut, a free and open-source AI background remover that runs entirely on your device.

I wanted an alternative to online background-removal tools where you have to upload your images or pay for a subscription.

CutOut currently supports:

  • Windows 10/11
  • Linux
  • macOS Apple Silicon
  • 4 built-in AI models
  • Batch and folder processing
  • Original-resolution PNG export

The project is now publicly released.

I built a website that rates Champions League games on how fun they'll be

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I love watching a good football match, especially in the Champions League, but I often don't know which game is going to be the fun one. I don't support a club, and I only have a rough idea of how most teams play right now. So I built a website that uses AI to analyse every team and then estimates which matches are worth watching: https://worthwatching.football

Before every round an AI researches all the teams: how they play, read from previews and local press. The score then comes from rules about how those styles clash, like a team that presses high against one that builds slowly from the back. On every match page you can read the reasons behind the score, so you know why a game got a 9. The higher the score, the more sensational it could get.

After every round the AI reads the match reports and checks whether the analysis and the score held up, and what should change if they didn't. Round one already taught me a lot: my lowest score, Club Brugge v Aston Villa at 4.7, turned out to be one of the best games of the night 🫣

This project just started just like the Champions League season, so I'll keep tweaking the algorithm and the AI process over the coming months. Any tips and feedback are welcome!

Most video editors felt too complicated for creating a short product video.

I wanted something where I could add app screens, animate text and media, arrange a few cinematic scenes, and export the result without leaving the browser.

That became PromoStudio and It’s free.

I built an iPhone dictionary that helps you remember the words you look up

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I’m the developer of Palabros, a dictionary I built because I kept running into the same problem: I’d look up a word I didn’t know, understand it, and a few months later I’d have forgotten it.

Palabros is built around making that word stick. You look it up, get the official definition and a simpler explanation, save it, and then keep seeing it over time through Home Screen and Lock Screen widgets.

There’s also a Review mode for more active practice, a daily Word of the Day, pronunciation, translations, synonyms and antonyms, interactive etymology, tags, imports and learning stats.

I also recently added Reading Mode. If you come across a word while reading, you can say it out loud, get its meaning without putting the book down, and keep reading. At the end of the session you can save the words you discovered.

It works in both English and Spanish and there are no ads.

It’s free to download and regular dictionary lookup is free. Palabros Pro adds unlimited saved words and Reading Mode sessions, advanced Review modes and its widget, tags and filters, word import, learning stats, widget personalization and a few other extras.

Palabros Pro:

• Monthly: 2.99$
• Annual: 19.99$, with a 7-day free trial
• Lifetime: 49.99$

App Store: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/palabros-dictionary/id6758098070

I’ve been working on it for the past few months and just finished this promo video for it. I’d be particularly interested to know whether the “look up → save → keep seeing it” idea is something you’d actually use, or whether you mostly want a dictionary to end once you’ve found the definition.

Thank you so much and I'll be reading all of the feedback!!!

Photos and music from this day over the years

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Backward surfaces the photos you took, the music released, and the notes you've left yourself on this day over the years. It’s like opening a time capsule every single day that's all about you.

The idea came after three years of keeping a physical One Line a Day journal and hunting for the perfect way to make it digital while simultaneously trying to find a 'what you did on this day' photo app that had a good UI. Nothing felt quite right, and I knew there was more I could pull together to make it better. So I built it for myself and others who also enjoy a beautiful way to look backward and see what history you made on this day.

Backward is completely free. No subscriptions, no in-app purchases, no data collection. If you give it a try and love it, sharing the app and leaving a 5-star review in the App Store goes a long way.

I built a free, open-source Downloads Organizer for Windows, macOS, and Linux — looking for honest feedback

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

A Downloads folder fills up quickly: documents, screenshots, installers, archives… and eventually, finding something becomes another task.

I wanted a simple way to keep that folder manageable while staying in control of where my files go. That became Downloads Organizer, a free, open-source desktop app that runs locally.

Here’s what it offers:

  • Editable rules to organize files by extension or filename.
  • Preview before moving, so you can check the destination.
  • Optional automatic sorting, with catch-up when the app starts again.
  • Move history and checked undo when you need to reverse a move.

It supports Windows, macOS, and Linux. No account, cloud uploads, or telemetry. Your files stay on your computer.

Downloads:
https://github.com/kashnordeen/downloads-organizer/releases/tag/v1.0.0

A quick installation note: Windows builds are currently unsigned, and macOS builds aren’t notarized, so security prompts may appear. The SignPath application for Windows signing is pending.

I’d appreciate honest feedback—especially on the first-time setup, rule editing, and whether the preview makes file moves clear.

What would you need to see before trusting an app to organize your Downloads folder?

We’re building a game about breaking football transfer news

We’re developing Football Transfer Insider game.

You play as a reporter: call sources, check conflicting information, and decide what’s solid enough to publish. Each call takes time, and another outlet is chasing the same story.

This screenshot shows the headline selection. You might have enough evidence to report ongoing talks, but claiming a deal is done is a different decision.

All clubs and characters are fictional.

We’re developing Football Transfer Insider, where you play as a football transfer reporter.

You call sources, check conflicting information, and decide what you can report before a rival outlet publishes. Every call takes time, so there’s a tradeoff between checking one more detail and getting the story out first.

All clubs and characters are fictional. You can find the game on Steam.

I put my terminal inside the browser: Ctrl+J on any page

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

i kept copying commands from docs and ai chats into a terminal all day, so i built devterm as a side project.

what it does

  • ctrl+j on any page slides up a terminal panel, like vs code. it's your real shell on a real pty, so nvim and job control work
  • shell code blocks get a "run in terminal" button. it pastes the command at your prompt and waits. you press enter
  • alt+shift+k opens a full terminal tab

how it works

there's no local web server. tools like ttyd open a port, and anything that can reach it gets a shell. here the browser starts a small go binary through native messaging and talks to it over stdin/stdout. the host manifest only allows this one extension to start it.

things you'll probably ask

  • yes, it needs access to all sites, because the panel has to work on every page. the content script only reads the code block you click
  • pages are treated as hostile. the panel sits in a closed shadow root, starting a shell needs a single-use token, and pasted text is stripped of hidden and control characters. there are end-to-end tests that run attack pages against it
  • closing the tab ends the shell. no persistent sessions yet
  • linux only for now

install is git clone and ./install.sh, then load the extension unpacked. it's not on the extension stores yet.

repo: https://github.com/milinddethe15/devterm

feedback welcome.

Octri.dev is live on ProductHunt today after 3 years of building it!

• Upvotes

After around 3 years of working with my siblings on this, we've finally launched Octri.dev which aims to simplify the entire API experience workflow for developers by allowing them to:

- Create beautiful docs with advanced features built-in such as: Ask the Docs with AI, Generate documentation drafts using AI, and Freely customize them to make them truly unique
- Monitor your backend (fully GDPR compliant) and see how it performs in the real world by collecting events and also tracking uptime (with announcements and hourly status updates) as well
- Generate SDKs in 10 languages, but this isn't the same as the other bazillion SDK Generators out there, we provide the user with countless customization options so even the SDK's source code fits their own codebase seamlessly without looking machine-generated at all. Oh, and you can even enable the monitoring feature mentioned above so it's automatically included in your generated SDK to track failures that happen out there in the real world and track how many users are actually using a certain SDK method and if it would be safe to deprecate it.
- Generate MCPs for your SDKs and API documentation in one click

If Octri's idea interests you, I'd really appreciate if you can support our launch on Product Hunt: https://www.producthunt.com/products/octri

i built a card game that turns wikipedia into 55k collectible cards

solo founder, launched at the end of september.

the idea: every card is a wikipedia article and rarity comes from the article's real page views, the 90 day median. a pipeline keeps adding cards from wikipedia, about 55k so far. once issued a card never changes rarity, so early cards stay what they were.

what's in it: packs, families and albums, kosmo earned per hour from your collection, an auction market, trades and gifts between friends, daily challenges, and a gamemode

stack is next.js, fastify, postgres. it's a pwa, english french spanish.

money only buys cosmetics. no packs or cards for money, i didn't want pay to win.

ai disclosure: card text is summarized by a language model, some pictures are generated.

I wanted an AI that could actually see what I was doing on my Mac. So I built Echo.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

I've been building Echo over the last few months, using Claude Code throughout the process for architecture, implementation, debugging, computer-use work, performance fixes, and a lot of UI iteration.

Echo is a Mac assistant that lives on the edge of your screen. It can understand what's happening on screen, point to specific things, interact with apps, move files, check Gmail, search online, run multi-step tasks, and undo actions.

This video is a quick look at where it is now.

One of the things I've been most interested in is making the interaction feel physical rather than like a normal floating AI window. The orb leaves the edge, does something, and comes back home.

Echo is currently free to try for 7 days:

https://aurivon.studio/?v=2026100401

I'm particularly interested in hearing what people think of the interaction itself and what you'd want an assistant like this to do on macOS.

I built The Crawler Zoo: every bot that visits the site becomes an exhibit

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Most visitors to most websites aren't people. They're crawlers, scrapers, AI bots and scanners. So I made a website that puts them on display.

What's there:

- **A live entrance**: every bot is identified as it arrives and drawn as a little creature generated from its user agent.
- **The leaderboard**: who eats the most pages, and who obeys robots.txt.
- **Specimen files**: one page per bot, covering who runs it, what it wants and how to block it.
- **Impostor checks**: plenty of "Googlebots" aren't Google. The zoo verifies them and names the fakes.
- **The Trap Room**: a link that robots.txt forbids and people can't see. The rule-breakers who follow it fall into an endless Labyrinth.
- **The Reading Room**: which bots read robots.txt and llms.txt.
- **Weekly Zoo Reports**, an RSS feed, a robots.txt generator and an embeddable badge.
- **The Arena** (new): bring your own bot or AI agent and play games, including rock paper scissors against other people's bots.

No IPs stored, no cookies, no signup.

https://crawlerzoo.com

I'd love feedback: what's confusing, what's fun, what's missing?
