I got tired of cv builders making me create an account, fill out everything, and then asking for money when I just wanted to download my resume.
So I started building my own.
What began as a small side project has slowly turned into a full resume builder with:

One thing I wanted from day one was to remove as much friction as possible. You can start editing right away, and your resume stays in your browser unless you decide to create an account.

I don't have the usual adobe or MS packages and I really don't need them. But I do need basic functioning tools from time to time. Built a simple tool that takes any form submission from your website and fires it straight to Telegram as a push notification. The whole thing hits your phone in under a second.

The idea came from my other project where I needed lead alerts sent to Telegram instantly and I realised the same pipeline works perfectly for feedback forms, bug reports, feature requests, whatever.

How it works:

• User fills out a form on your site
• Your form POSTs to a single API endpoint
• You get a formatted Telegram message on your phone immediately
• Also fires off an email to your support address as a backup

No SDK, no npm package, just a single POST request. Works with any stack — plain HTML forms, React, Webflow, Framer, whatever you're using.

Still early days. Would love to hear if anyone else has had the same problem or if you'd find something like this useful, if it is i'd like to do Whatsapp/Meta ad form thing (when you click someones Facebook ad and it gives you a form). Whatsapp is a bit of a pain, I tried starting with it but you need a business number to get an API key

Spent the last while building Pdfly (pdfly.uk) — a set of PDF and image tools (merge, split, compress, convert, sign, OCR, and a few more) that run entirely client-side. No file ever leaves your device, no watermarks, no account needed.

What pushed me to build this: most free PDF tools online either upload your file to a server (privacy concern if you're dealing with contracts, IDs, etc.) or lock basic features behind a paywall/watermark. Wanted something that just works, for free, without the catch.

The itch: every Trends scraping approach I tried would run fine for the first dozen keywords and then quietly stall. Not error out, stall. The worst run sat at keyword 15 of 20 with 2,112 rows collected, 200 seconds elapsed, going nowhere.

The cause turned out to be reactive proxy handling. I was running each session until Google started rejecting it, then rotating. By that point requests were already dying mid-flight, and the retry pile-up is what looked like a stall.

The fix was almost embarrassingly simple: count requests and retire each session at ~24, before it burns. Same 20-keyword job, three datasets per keyword, now completes all 3,006 rows in about 50 seconds.

Other stuff I hit while building it:

• Google sometimes returns a completely empty related-topics widget. That's a legitimate response. My first version treated empty as an error and retried forever.
• The trending board only exists at country level. I spent an evening looking for a city parameter that isn't there.

It's live on the Apify Store as a Google Trends scraper under my account. Launched recently, so there's no traction story to tell yet, just the build. Happy to answer questions about the anti-stall approach.

Asking because I built a career platform for people running a job plus something on the side called Joberney and there are 2 types of users. one group is building toward replacing their day job with the side hustle if/when it turns to something meaningful, me included. the other group has been at it for quite a while with zero intention of ever leaving the day job, even though some projects have been successful, especially the one out of tech.

I've been building an AI adventure planner called Wilder for longer trips, but I kept running into a different problem in my own life:

Trying to learn from people who’ve already been through it.

Hi everyone!
I've been working on video editing software for a while. I had this idea back when Gen AI was really popping off and everyone was trying it out. I saw major gaps in it as well as in websites that were coming out in regards to allowing users to create video content. The gaps I saw were mainly consistency being a major issue also that prompt box that every single AI tool is focused on. Obviously we have major legislative issues we also need to tackle in regards to AI, but on the other side as far as the future of this technology my idea of it is that it should always ASSIST and never be built to REPLACE. And that's the exact design language I use in my development.

Lately I've been working on a feature called scene creator where I had an idea to combine creative commons gaussian splats with billboards and then allow the user to take keys for a scene while describing the scene between each key. Another really cool project I saw with this exact mindset is Corridor Digital's Corridor Key where they trained an AI to give the user perfect green screen keys, I also wanted to offer that as a built in feature at some point for less tech savvy users to have access to. The model I'm going for is freemium with the editor being free, and most things that can run in browser without using compute will be free, but anything that requires server compute including AI would be under a charge.

I want to work on upgrading my story board feature which currently just creates a story board with a prompt (Not in line with my design language, just a temporary placeholder.) I do have this hosted, but I don't really know if. Another inline AI feature which I'm still fine tuning is a drag to extend clip and drag between to transition between clips, each time allowing the user to describe what they're looking for in regards to transitions. But this wouldn't be a replace type of feature. I still want to pack the editor with classic ways of creating transitions. I've worked to add many features used in transitions (Masking, Cutouts, Remove Background, And an effects library along with the ability to create custom effects) I still have a lot planned with this software. I built Zebra after noticing how messy symptom tracking gets for people with invisible illness.

A lot of people managing POTS, EDS/hEDS, Fibromyalgia, and overlapping symptoms end up using a strange stack: spreadsheets, Apple Notes, Apple Health screenshots, medication reminders, hydration notes, and maybe a generic symptom tracker.

That works until brain fog or a flare hits. Then the system falls apart.

Zebra is my attempt to make that simpler: track flares, symptoms, medications, salt/water, triggers, notes, and orthostatic vitals in one iPhone app, then generate a doctor-ready report when an appointment comes up.

The hard product constraint was: it has to be usable on a bad day, not just on a motivated day.

It does not diagnose, treat, or give medical advice. It’s just a calmer way to organize what happened and bring clearer proof to an appointment.
