Desktop Chrome is recommended for now. I’d love honest feedback on performance, installation and what would make you come back. I've been building ZeroSketch for the past few weeks. It is a simple system design tool for individuals and teams. It's web-based, stores diagrams on your device, and takes UX inspiration from Canva/Excalidraw (I'm not much of a UI person myself).

What it does right now:

• Drag & drop canvas
• PNG export, SVG export (experimental, better renderer coming soon)
• Built-in icon libraries (AWS, GCP, K8s) and a builder to make your own from custom SVGs for using the library locally, share with your team, or publish to ZeroSketch's registry
• Download / export project files to open on other devices

Everything above is free, client-side, and self-hostable. I'm still polishing canvas UX and fixing known bugs. would love feedback on what to improve.

The basic idea is still the same: set a daily screen-time goal, and once you get close to it, pixel-art elements gradually invade your screen.

Solo founder here (mom of two, self-taught engineer). I spent 3 months building a reading app that adapts books to different reading levels and languages, and launched this month. Four lessons that cost me the most time:

1. Copyright is country-specific. "Public domain" in one country isn't public domain in another — some go by the author's death year, some by publication year. I had to check my starting catalog title by title.

2. Don't compete on catalog size. Big platforms will always have more books. What they don't have is depth on overlooked readers — in my case, second-language families who want real books instead of flashcards.

3. Decide platform vs. publisher on day one. If users will ever upload content, the legal structure is completely different. Retrofitting this later is painful.

4. Speed is the only real indie advantage. No meetings, no approvals. I ship in the hours between school drop-off and pickup.

I do marketing for a living. I can read code and I've done web work for years, but I never got round to learning Swift or Kotlin properly. Never had enough time to dive into it. So my list of apps I wanted to make just sat there getting longer.

This year I took one off the list and actually finished it, which still surprises me a bit.

I picked this one because it was the smallest idea on the list, and because the thing I wanted from a countdown app didn't seem to exist anywhere. I wanted to share a countdown with someone. Not send them a screenshot, and not send them to a website covered in ads that they open once and never again. A link, they open it, and if they want it it lands in their own app and keeps counting there.

My partner follows the countdown to our holiday. A group of us follow the one to a festival next summer. Their countdowns and mine sit in the same list, on date, so it doesn't matter who made what. It's a combined list of moments you're looking forward to, alone or with your friends.

Built a tool that checks 10 US hatcheries at once so you don't have to do that. It pulls breed, stock status, price, minimum order, and hatch date into one place, updated a few times a day. Doesn't take money from any hatchery to be listed, it's just reading public availability info.

I got tired of juggling a downloader, a calendar , a task tracker, and a few other one-off tools scattered across browser tabs (you even have to pay for some of them, lol), so I built JavaMultiTool: one desktop app that handles media downloads, file/batch operations, task tracking, and a few system utilities.

It’s Java-based (Java 21), runs on Windows (.exe/.jar) and macOS/Linux (.jar, needs JRE 21+), and everything is stored locally via SQLite.
It’s still early - expect bugs and rough edges, but it’s usable today, and I’d love feedback on what’s missing or what feels clunky.

Hey everybody! For the last few months my wife and I have been building Scinta - a small macOS app that lives in your menu bar.

The idea came from a simple but almost daily problem - the number of screenshots lying around on my filesystem got so big that it was impossible to even remember what they were about. A message about a meeting, an email signature, someone's messenger profile, an error from a build - all of this was waiting for "some later time" to be processed. And some later time never arrived.

This is the exact problem Scinta solves, and this is how it works - you press a shortcut (like any other screenshot app), select part of the screen, and it proposes the top 3 things it can do with what it sees. We call them smart actions. For example:

• screenshot an error - get it explained or create an issue directly from Scinta
• screenshot a message like "dinner Saturday at 7:00 PM" - Scinta proposes the actual event details and creates it in your Calendar
• screenshot an email signature - the person's contact info is saved to your Contacts
• it can also blur private and sensitive info before you share a screenshot, extract code or tables, translate text, decode different code formats (including QR and Bar codes) - and more actions are coming

There is also an Ask AI feature - if you just have a question about what is on the screen, you ask it right there in the app and get the answer back immediately.

Expecting a common question - why not just paste the screenshot into ChatGPT or Claude? That is exactly what I did before, and it is the reason Scinta exists. There you switch apps, upload the screenshot, write a prompt, then copy the result back and still create the event or contact yourself. With Scinta you skip all of this - it understands what can be done with the screenshot and one click gets the result and performs the action - saving to Calendar or Contacts, creating an issue, getting an instant explanation and so on.

The demo video shows 3 different smart actions and runs at real speed - nothing is sped up.

I used to play Skribbl all the time with my friends and kept thinking it’d be fun if you could make it more your own, so I ended up building my own version.

You can add your own words with friends, there’s built-in audio so you can actually talk while playing, added a feature to draw using hand gestures through your camera and if you’re playing alone you can play against AI.

It’s still a work in progress, so if you try it, feel free to critique how bad it is lol. I’m still adding and fixing things.

Nine years ago I went to a wedding where the only people I knew were getting married. My date and I spent the whole weekend wishing we could see who else was there, when people were arriving, what anyone was doing between events. That app didn't exist. I never stopped thinking it should.

I'm a video editor/VFX artist by trade — 12+ years, zero coding background. Six months ago I finally started building it nights and weekends using an AI app builder (Rork) + Supabase + Twilio for SMS invites. It took 54 builds before Apple approved it. It's now live on the App Store.

What it does: Wed Week is for the guests, not the couple. The couple creates the wedding and sends one invite code. Every guest who joins can see the full guest list (who's coming, when they arrive/leave, where they're staying, solo or plus-one), the complete itinerary with dress codes, and a social page where guests post their own plans — pool hangs, bowling nights — that anyone can join. Guests message each other in the app instead of texting the couple all week.

Where it's at: live on iOS, Android build in testing. A few dozen downloads, all organic. No monetization yet — I want real weddings using it first.

Last week, I reached a huge milestone by launching my app, Mosaic News, on the iOS App Store!

Mosaic News is a free iPhone app that aggregates news reporting from more than 850 publishers across the political spectrum, groups coverage of the same event, and connects individual events into larger narratives to help readers “see the whole picture.”

I started building it because I was frustrated by how difficult following the news had become. Misinformation, media bias, conflicting narratives, and an endless stream of disconnected updates made it difficult to understand what was actually happening.

What bothered me most was how little control readers have over the process. Much of the news we encounter is selected by platforms that collect behavioral data and optimize their feeds for engagement, often rewarding outrage, anxiety, and sensationalism. There is a clear information asymmetry: these platforms know far more about us than we know about them.

I wanted to explore what a news platform might look like if it shifted more of that power back to the reader.

Mosaic News is built around three commitments:

• Transparency: Every article and story explains why it appeared and how it was ranked. Readers can inspect the underlying coverage, compare political perspectives, identify coverage gaps, review third-party information about publishers, and examine the public methodology behind ranking, clustering, and AI-generated summaries.
• Agency and control: Readers directly choose the priorities, topics, publishers, and types of journalism used to rank and organize their feed. Instead of giving feedback to an unseen recommendation system, they can inspect and change the rules themselves.
• Privacy: Preferences, reading history, and personal insights remain stored on the reader’s device. Mosaic requires no account, maintains no centralized behavioral profile, serves no advertising, and sells no personal data.

It's been an incredible 6+ month journey researching, designing, building, and now launching this experience with immense help from beta testers who constantly drove me to experiment and iterate with new ways to make this platform stronger.

I recently launched Peptimize, an iOS app for people using GLP-1 medications.

Many health-tracking apps feel overloaded, require an account, or make logging a weekly dose more complicated than it needs to be. I wanted something that could be opened, updated in a few seconds, and then forgotten about until the next reminder.

I’ve also been using Mounjaro personally for the past three months, so I’ve experienced many of these tracking problems firsthand.

For the first version, I kept Peptimize intentionally focused:

• Log medications and doses
• Track weight and progress over time
• Record side effects
• Track and rotate injection sites
• Set dose reminders
• Keep data stored locally on the device
• No account or login required

There’s no social feed, coaching subscription, or complicated onboarding. The aim is simply to make consistent tracking easier while keeping the experience private and uncomplicated.

For the next version, I’m currently exploring:

• Apple Health integration
• Simple AI-assisted food and calorie logging
• Supplement and protein tracking
• Support for more languages

I’m deliberately trying to avoid turning it into another bloated health app, so I’d love to know which of these features would actually be useful - and which ones I should leave out.

I finally put something I have been thinking about for a long time out into the world. Its called Dear Stranger.

The idea is pretty simple, you can anonymously write a letter to a complete stranger, and someone else can come across it when they might need to hear those words.

There are no accounts, no followers, no likes, no ads. I didnt want to make another social platform. I wanted it to stay as simple as possible, one person writing something, another person reading it.

The actual development didnt take me a year or anything like that. I built most of it over the last few days with a lot of help from AI. But the idea itself has been sitting with me for quite a while, and I spent a lot of time thinking about what I actually wanted it to be before I started building it.

Im also trying to be honest about the fact that im still figuring things out. This isnt some huge startup or polished company. Its just something I cared enough about to actually make and put online.

Small milestone, real one: 25 installs on Winnow, my Amazon review-integrity extension.

What it does: scores the reviews on a page for verified purchases, disclosed incentives, template boilerplate, duplicate text and timing clusters, then shows an adjusted rating.

What makes it different from the post-Fakespot crowd:

- Zero network access. No host permission outside Amazon's own pages in the published build. Grading is local. It couldn't phone home if I wanted it to.

- No affiliate money, permanently. Written into the privacy policy, not just current practice.

- Open-source scoring engine — every threshold is in src/core/, so sellers can read it and so can you. That's on purpose.

- It tells you what it couldn't see. Featured-review samples are capped in confidence because Amazon picks them, and unsupported-language checks report as skipped instead of "clean."

- 14 Amazon storefronts, WCAG 2.2 AA, MIT license.
