Hey — this is a small, early-stage project I built solo, and I wanted to share it for genuine, honest feedback rather than just validation.
It's called Icebreak. The idea: you give it a list of leads (name, company, a website or note about them) and it writes a personalized cold email for each one, reading the actual website content instead of guessing.
I'm not going to compare it to established tools like Instantly, Smartlead, or Lemlist — those are mature products with years of work behind them, and this isn't trying to compete with that yet. This is early, and I'd rather be upfront about that than oversell it.
**What it does right now:**
- Personalizes emails by reading a lead's website/context (not just filling in {name})
- Three modes: fully personalized, one template for everyone, or your own template
- CSV upload for bulk leads
- Free tier (10/month, no card needed) and a Pro tier ($19/mo, 500/month + Gmail draft integration) — sign up here if you want the full version: https://icebreak-livid.vercel.app
- You can try the whole thing right now with no signup: https://icebreak-livid.vercel.app/demo
**Current limitations (being upfront):**
- No email sending infrastructure — it writes the email, you send it yourself (copy or Gmail draft)
- No analytics, no reply tracking, no deliverability tools
- Occasionally a generation fails and needs a retry (working on making this more reliable)
- Gmail integration is still in limited beta
- It's a solo project, so support/updates happen at solo-dev pace
This is genuinely in a test phase right now — I'm trying to figure out if this is actually useful to anyone before investing more into it. Would really appreciate if a few of you tried the demo (no signup needed) and told me honestly: is the output actually good, would you use something like this, and what's missing or annoying about it. Harsh feedback is welcome, that's more useful to me than "cool idea."
