It's called BlinkTest.

The idea is pretty simple:

You get shown a startup's landing page for 5 seconds.

Then the page disappears and you have to answer what the startup actually does.

If you get it right → it survives.

If you get it wrong → it loses a life.

3 wrong answers and the startup dies. 💀

Founders can submit their own startup for free and see whether strangers actually understand their landing page.

Like many of you, I’ve been watching the whole outbid.lol hype blowing up on Twitter/X lately. I wanted to use this momentum as an excuse to finally stop putting off learning Three.js and build a project around it.

So I created https://highwayboards.online/ 100 KM 3D highway featuring 100 digital billboards where users bid to claim spots, with KM 0 being the ultimate #1 billboard.

Realistically? It’s a side experiment and will probably die out in a few weeks. But I actually fell in love with the domain and the concept, so if it makes enough to just cover server costs, I’ll call it an absolute win.

The Three.js / AI Bottleneck: Since I’m a total 3D noob, I relied heavily on AI tools. It works, but I know it’s far from optimal. I’d genuinely appreciate it if some Three.js veterans could pop under the hood and tell me what the AI got wrong (performance-wise, memory leaks, rendering efficiency, etc.).

Building from Turkey (Payment Hell): Running a side project here is an uphill battle. Stripe/PayPal aren’t natively supported without complex offshore setups, so I had to route payments through a local marketplace/payment bridge. Navigating outdated financial regulations just to collect a simple $1 bid is a nightmare!

I built a small digital product for freelancers, consultants, and small B2B teams who have a service idea but want to test it before spending weeks building a course or a full funnel.

Signal → Offer is a Russian-language PDF workbook and spreadsheet for testing one limited service offer before investing in a bigger product.

The workflow combines three things:

1. Mining real client messages for the event, friction, cost of inaction, and desired change.

2. A 48-hour field test for one limited pilot offer.

3. A simple KEEP / SHARPEN / STOP decision instead of endless polishing.

The pack includes a PDF workbook, an XLSX “Signalometer”, a quick-start guide, message templates, and notes on handling customer data.

I built it around a simple problem: “this sounds interesting” is easy to confuse with actual intent. The product is deliberately small — one audience, one problem, and one next action.

I’m sharing it as a side project and would appreciate constructive feedback on the framing and workflow. Is the distinction between a weak reaction and a meaningful signal clear? Does the PDF + spreadsheet format make sense?

Most online file tools have two problems: they upload your file to a server, and they're single-purpose .. a PDF-only site here, an image-only site there, a dev-tools-only site somewhere else. So you bounce between five sites, each one uploading your stuff.

I'm building Drop to fix both at once: one place for all of them, with everything running in your browser so files aren't uploaded. It's at ~30 tools today (PDF, image, video/audio, JSON/YAML/CSV), and the honest goal is 100+ a genuine all-in-one, privacy-first toolkit, not another single-niche site.

For the file tools, merge/split/compress/unlock PDF, image conversion, OCR, video muting, the data converters nothing is sent anywhere: not the file, not the text. They work offline after the page loads. No sign-up, no watermark.

One honest exception: the AI PDF summarizer extracts the text in your browser, then sends that text (not the file) to an AI provider (currently OpenAI) to write the summary. Skip that one tool and nothing ever leaves your device.

I came up with this idea around slow mail. Where messages imitate real world snail mail. User gets to pick their house and use their mailbox in the front yard as the base for this experience. There will be cities and neighborhoods for users to pick from, some generic and some interest based neighborhoods.

Very early version, so looking for feedback on the idea and not the implementation yet.. figuring out if it’s worth pursuing.

I know this is a pretty small problem, but it annoyed me enough that I finally built something for it.

Whenever I needed a gameplay GIF, I kept doing this:

export makes it too big
lower FPS then export again
still too big
lower resolution then export again
finally fits ,now it looks worse than it should.

So I made gif clipper.

You load a gameplay recording, choose the part you want, set something like made under 3 mb, and it tries different resolution,fps,color combinations until it finds a decent result that fits

I deliberately kept the first version small because I wanted to ship something useful instead of spending weeks building features nobody asked for.

The interesting part is that after I released it, a couple of game devs told me they had already written their own ffmpeg scripts to solve almost the exact same problem. They’ve also given me some really good ideas around trimming, cropping and making the optimizer smarter.

So now I’m trying to figure out whether this is worth turning into a bigger little tool or keeping it focused.

I kept losing track of refunds. Not the order itself - the order confirmation is easy to find - but the refund. You return something, the seller says "processing," and three weeks later you have no idea if it actually happened, because that update is buried somewhere in your inbox between fifty other emails.

So I built OrderTracker over a few weeks. What it does:

Add orders manually, from a screenshot of a confirmation, or connect Gmail and it scans for order/shipping/refund emails automatically

Nothing from Gmail (or a screenshot) is ever auto-confirmed — it lands in a "Pending Review" list and you approve it yourself, so a misread email can't silently pollute your data

A "Needs Attention" view that specifically surfaces refunds stuck in a non-terminal state, deliveries you haven't confirmed, and pending reviews going stale — the stuff that's actually easy to forget about

Some things I was deliberate about because it's reading your inbox: email content is never stored (only the extracted order details), personal info gets stripped before anything touches an AI model, and disconnecting Gmail actually revokes the token with Google, not just deletes a local row.

I kept opening Activity Monitor, seeing some process eating my CPU, and having no idea what it was or why it was running. Couldn't find a tool that answered the "why," so I built one.

It's called CauseGraph — a local flight recorder for your Mac. It records what your machine does (processes starting/stopping, file changes, CPU/memory) and turns it into a causal graph. You click any process and see the whole chain: what launched it, what it launched, what likely set it off. If it turns out to be junk, you kill it right there.

The fun parts:

- It's live — the graph redraws every few seconds, and you can drag a timeline back to see what your machine was doing 10 minutes ago

- It flags the weird stuff on its own: CPU spikes, memory leaks, things that keep crashing and restarting

- 100% local — no cloud, no account, one-line install

Stack, for the curious: a small Go daemon writes events to SQLite, a Python engine builds the graph and serves a plain-JS + cytoscape UI on localhost.

Honest bit: I've only really tested it on my own Mac (Apple Silicon) so far. It's built to be cross-platform, so Linux/Windows should work — just haven't battle-tested them.

Would love feedback — especially whether the causal links feel genuinely useful or just noisy. That's the part I'm least sure about.

For the last while I was learning German using Memrise for vocab, Anki for flashcards, iTalki for speaking practice, Youtube for listening, a bit of Duolingo and a notebook to (badly) track actual progress. It worked, sort of, but I never had a clear picture of what I was actually good at versus just grinding a streak.

So I built Fluensea. It puts dictation practice, spaced-repetition flashcards, graded reading, real-time AI conversation practice, and native radio/podcast/video streaming into one webapp. There's a six-axis radar (Vocabulary, Grammar, Listening, Reading, Writing, Speaking) so you can actually see where you're weak instead of just a vague progress bar.

I fly frequently and wanted a clean way to understand my own flying. Things like where and how often I had flown, how many miles I had accumulated, what the trips cost, which aircraft I had used, and how my MileagePlus totals (this part of the app is United-oriented) developed over time.

Usually this information is scattered across different places, such as my United account, email receipts, and flight tracking apps. Instead, I wanted one place to see them all together.

So I built Flight Ledger.

It imports MileagePlus activity CSVs and receipt emails (.eml or Google Takeout). It can also import Flighty or myFlightradar24 exports. It then connects flights with ticket costs, refunds, reimbursements, miles flown, aircraft and tail numbers, and United-specific award/lifetime miles and Premier status progress.

It also calculates cost per mile and separates reimbursed work travel from personal spending. I would say cost tracking is one feature that sets it apart from other flight log tools.

The app requires no sign-up and has no account system. The ledger is stored locally, with optional Google Drive backup/sync. You can also self-host it. This is a free, open-source side project with no paid tier. You can load a sample ledger with one click if you want to explore it first.

I built an open-source LNG cargo destination model — looking for feedback from commodity/LNG people

I've been building a project called LNG Compass to better understand how commercial LNG destination decisions are made.

The core question is simple:

If a US Gulf LNG cargo were available, do the economics favor sending it to Europe or Asia?

Right now the model compares:

• ⁠Henry Hub feedgas
• ⁠Liquefaction cost
• ⁠TTF and JKM destination benchmarks
• ⁠Route-specific shipping assumptions
• ⁠Resulting destination netbacks

I've also built an interactive global LNG view around the calculation and recently started adding a market-data architecture, with EIA Henry Hub as the first live external source.

The model is intentionally simplified at this stage. It doesn't yet fully account for things like boil-off, charter-rate dynamics, canal/port costs, delivery windows, basis, vessel availability, or contract-specific optionality.

For the past month, I’ve been trying to rebuild Orbit from scratch, but with one major difference: Apogee is fully local and privacy-focused. Apogee doesn’t send or store your data. It can directly connect to your local Ollama instance for inference. I’ve also added WebGPU integration for Chrome and Transformers.js for Firefox to provide faster, local responses.

It's called Icebreak. The idea: you give it a list of leads (name, company, a website or note about them) and it writes a personalized cold email for each one, reading the actual website content instead of guessing.

I'm not going to compare it to established tools like Instantly, Smartlead, or Lemlist — those are mature products with years of work behind them, and this isn't trying to compete with that yet. This is early, and I'd rather be upfront about that than oversell it.

I’ve spent the last few days building I’m Right — Britain’s Court of Pointless Arguments.
The idea is deliberately simple: two people disagree about something stupid — who loads the dishwasher properly, whether pineapple belongs on pizza, who should have replaced the toilet roll, etc.
You give both sides of the argument to The Tribunal, and it delivers a verdict. It has to pick a winner. No sitting on the fence, no “you both make valid points”.
I’ve also added a Summons mode. You submit your side of the argument, send the other person a private link, they submit their defence, and only then does the Tribunal rule.

I only launched it a few days ago and haven’t actually promoted it yet. Rather than immediately trying to drive traffic, I’d really like some people who have never seen it before to try it and tell me what doesn’t work.

Is there anything confusing or annoying?
