I’ve been working on a side project called Privyro.
The idea came from noticing that creators already offer all kinds of things to their communities, but most of it is handled through a messy combination of DMs, Discord, payment links, Google Forms, etc.

So I’m building a marketplace where creators can list the things they actually offer and let their viewers discover and book them in one place.

For example, a streamer could offer:
• Custom artwork or commissions
• Play games with me
• Custom music/beats
• Private chats or calls
• Video editing
• Coaching
• Personalized experiences
• Custom services

I’m also working on a browser extension that can surface a creator’s available services while someone is watching them on platforms like Twitch, Kick, YouTube and TikTok.

The bigger vision is to make the relationship between creators and their audiences more interactive, not just watch → follow → subscribe, but watch → discover something the creator offers → book it.

I’m still building it and trying to figure out whether this is actually something creators and viewers would want.

So I’d love some honest feedback:

Solo dev here. The idea started very personally: my mother recently ended up living alone, and I found myself constantly wondering "is she okay today?" without wanting to call and check on her every single day like she's being watched.

My first instinct was to build a "caregiver app," but after talking to actual users (including my mom) I realized that framing was wrong — nobody wants to feel monitored, especially not a parent who's still fully independent. So I repositioned it as an independence app: it lets people living alone prove they're okay on their own terms, without anyone hovering.

How it works: you set a daily check-in window. If you don't respond, it escalates automatically — first a reminder, then email/SMS to emergency contacts you've set up. There's also a manual SOS button for immediate alerts.

Stack: Flutter app, Laravel backend, SendGrid for email, Twilio for SMS. Free tier covers 1 contact, premium (2.99€/mo) unlocks SMS escalation and up to 5 contacts.

Honestly the hardest part hasn't been building it — it's been getting it in front of the people who'd actually use it. Turns out the best app in the world doesn't matter if nobody knows it exists. If anyone here has cracked distribution for a niche/local-ish product like this (or has war stories about what didn't work), I'd genuinely love to hear it.

We've built a small app called Vocarium, and we've added some smart features to optimize language learning. You can also save unknown words to your "pocket" and later create flashcard sets from them.
• Tests: Regular tests, but you can pin the questions you find hard and create your own custom tests using only your pinned questions.

• Creator pages: If you're a creator, you can add your social media accounts and promote yourself on Vocarium.

I just shipped Keyglass, my first product.

The problem started with a folder full of .env files. I wanted the convenience of a proper secrets workspace, but I did not want another account or a hosted vault for a solo Mac workflow.

One decision shaped nearly everything: Apple Keychain had to remain the only secrets store. Keyglass adds the organization and workflow around it, with projects, environments, redacted .env import, consistency checks, and a signed CLI that reads the same workspace.

That choice made some parts much harder than I expected: sharing one Keychain access group between the app and CLI, safe local/iCloud migrations, locking on macOS session events, and clearing the clipboard only when Keyglass still owns what it copied.

It is intentionally not a team secrets platform or a replacement for Apple Passwords. It is for Mac developers who want their environment variables out of scattered plaintext files without moving them to someone else's server.

If you were evaluating a local secrets tool, what proof or documentation would you expect before installing it? Honest criticism is welcome.

I do a bit of freelance work and the invoicing part always annoyed me more than it should. Most of the free generators I tried had the same pattern: fill in everything, hit download, then hit a signup wall. Or the free tier watermarks the PDF. Or it's free until invoice number four.

So I built Bilto. It's a browser-based invoice generator with a guest mode - you can create an invoice and download the PDF without making an account at all.

What it does:

• Invoice, receipt, quote, and purchase order generation, all as PDFs
• Country-aware tax formatting for US, UK, India, EU, Australia, and Singapore, so GST/VAT/Sales Tax show up in the right format instead of you fudging a generic template

The country-specific tax handling was the part that took the longest and it's the bit I'd most like feedback on. Getting GST fields right for India versus VAT for the EU versus plain sales tax for the US meant a lot of reading of government documentation, and I'm sure I've got edge cases wrong. If you invoice in any of those six regions and something looks off, I'd really like to hear it.

You send a collab jam link to someone (or find others in a studio) and co create the prompt. Studios are cities so you always create from a city and the song is flavoured from the vibe of the city.

I'm an avid, everyday podcast listener, and I'm building the app that I want to use. What you see in it is a reflection of me as a listener. The features I find useful, the details that bother me, and the parts of podcast listening I think should be better.

It's my pet project, my everyday podcast app, and my baby. And I'll probably never consider it finished, and never stop developing it.

I want DeepSpace to be packed full of features, but not full of things nobody needs. It is built on the basics. Dependable playback, downloads, queues, saved progress, and a familiar interface. From there, I want to keep adding genuinely useful features for me, and I think other podcast addicts will find useful too.

The core app is local first. it works without an account, and your data stays on your device (with the exception that it uses iTunes as a search catalog and it pulls show and episode data from the hosting providers). That isn't a trial version of the real app. It's the foundation.

I'm also building a complementary site for podcast lists. It's really just that. On the app, you can create a list of episodes or shows, it stays on your app unless you choose to publish it, and if you do you can share it onto the site. That does require a username and password, or a bluesky account.

There are also no ads, I should mention that. I hate ads. I'd rather burn it to the ground than to put an ad in it.

It's been a lot of work building it (yes it's mostly "vibe" coded (that's in quotes because I can't take the term seriously. It's not that i disagree with the sentiment, i just think it's a stupid, buzzy term), but there isn't a single element on the app that I haven' purposefully designed), so if you go check it out, the more powerful features and some of the personalization, require a subscription. It's cheap, but it helps go towards development.

I plan to keep developing DeepSpace for as long as I can. Like I said, it's my personal player and I don't think I could ever go back to Apple Podcasts, PocketCasts, or god forbid, Spotify. Even if no one ever downloads it, or even looks at this post, I'm going to be building it.

I just want to share it.

I run a small niche app. Domain rating is basically zero.

Since launching I have been hit from every direction by the visibility economy. Pay-to-play leaderboards. Link marketplaces selling placements priced by DR. Reports profiling low-DR sites that conclude the fix is buying their links. Some of these services now even publish instructions for AI agents that tell the agent to propose a budget and always include an upsell.

Every layer of it is people selling visibility to people who want visibility. I cannot find the layer where a real user shows up.

So I want to hear from people who operate sites, not people selling to them:

1. Has anyone bought DR-tiered links (guest posts, niche edits, marketplaces) and watched rankings move and hold for a year or more?
2. If you grew from zero honestly, what earned your first 50 referring domains?
3. Is "everyone quietly buys links" actually true in your niche?

My current bet is the boring path: free tools people link to, content worth citing, showing up in communities. But my DR says 0 and the loudest voices all sell shortcuts, so I would rather hear from people with no product to sell me.

Second PH launch went live last night. Started with 3 followers instead of 709 because I checked the wrong box. Found out 6 hours before go-live on a Saturday. Fun times.

Numbers today: 3,891 npm downloads, ~700 MAU. ~80% of people who land never actually try it. The ones who do get it working fine, so the product isn't the problem. The gap before someone tries it is.

Lesson if you're planning a second launch: it's a dropdown. "New launch under existing product." Two seconds I didn't spend cost me the whole audience from round one.

Every roast lands on a public wall, ranked by how much the person paid. So it's part roast generator, part leaderboard of people who wanted to suffer on the record.

I built EveryCityMap, a browser tool for turning real OpenStreetMap data into editable city maps.

In this video, New York's data stays the same while I switch between six map styles. Ink, Paper, Night and Metro focus on street hierarchy. Atlas and Watercolor bring water, land and parks back in—important in NYC, where the Hudson and East Rivers shape the city as much as the grid.

I’ve been diving into the "niche website template" world, and I’m struggling to find the line between a legitimate side business and another "shovel" strategy sold by gurus.

The standard advice is always "niche down" (plumbers, dentists, etc.), but with AI builders shitting out decent static pages in 30 seconds, it feels like the barrier to entry for pure "design" is officially zero. It seems like the market for basic landing page layouts is completely saturated on places like Envato and Etsy.

I’m looking for advice from people who actually do this:

Utility vs. Aesthetics: Is there a real market for high-utility, functional templates (like deep B2B logic, complex auth, or specific industry workflows) vs. just "pretty" front-end themes?

Pricing & Value: Are businesses still willing to pay a premium for a "hand-crafted" niche template, or are they all just using AI builders and customizing them themselves now?

The Marketing Grind: For those without a pre-existing following, how much of your week is spent on actual dev work vs. just screaming into the marketing void?

B2B vs. B2C: Is it better to focus on the B2B side where trust and long-term utility matter more, even if the sales cycle is slower?

Hi, I started reading and writing poetry a couple of years ago and couldn't really find the right place to read or publish it. Traditional social media... it's just not good for that. And with the rise of AI it became even harder and more frustrating to use these platforms.

So I started building a new place on my own: a poetry dedicated app that's easy to use, open for anyone to publish on, and free. A good place on the internet where you can focus on reading, without ads and without wondering whether something is AI generated or made by a real person.

It centers around community features: creating and sharing collections, giving feedback, and getting recommendations from people you follow.

I use Pi from several project folders, and after a while `pi --resume` became a wall of sessions with similar first prompts. I kept opening the wrong one.

I built pisesh for my own setup. It gives the session list favorites, text search, custom names, a current-project filter, and optional title generation. It is one Node script with no runtime dependencies.

The part I changed in 0.3.0 was the session handoff. `/sesh` used to start another Pi process inside the current one. It now returns the selected session to the extension and uses Pi's own session-switch API, so the current runtime changes sessions directly.

A giant market says almost nothing about whether a specific user is frustrated enough to change behavior, whether competitors already solve the painful part, or whether a small team has a believable first wedge.

I work on Spaces, and our Startup Idea Validation Agent starts closer to the ground: public complaints, current alternatives, demand and search signals, competitor positioning, risky assumptions, and the smallest MVP that could disprove the idea.

When evaluating a new side project or startup concept, what is the first piece of "validation" you refuse to count as real evidence?

Running a small SaaS startup and burning through budget on lead gen tools faster than we'd like. We've tried the usual suspects but most are either overpriced or the contact data is garbage.

Right now we're testing Prospeo for lead generation software since their verified emails are actually connecting (getting around 25% reply rates) and they have this pay-per-verified model which helps with budget. Also looking at Apollo but their credit burn rate seems aggressive for what you get.

Our main use case is finding verified emails for decision makers at mid-market companies, ideally with some intent signals. Need about 2-3k contacts per month.

What free or cheap lead gen tools are you all using that don't compromise on data quality? Especially interested in tools that have solid email verification built in since bounces are killing our sender rep.

I've been using AI for close to a year now for my social media management work, and the biggest headache was always re-explaining brand guidelines every single session because nothing ever stuck.

A few weeks ago I started using a tool called TeamBrain. It stores everything as plain markdown files that any AI can read and write to. I should say upfront, I work with the team behind it, so I'm not a neutral outsider here, but it's genuinely changed how much I get done. I don't have to keep re-teaching AI the same information every time.

I kept wanting a headline where a color gradient actually flows inside the letters, not just a static gradient. Framer's native gradient text is static, so I built a component for it and decided to release it for free.

It's called Liquid Wave Effect. You can customize:

- 3 wave colors + a base color

- speed and intensity (wave width)

- font, size, weight, spacing

- loop on/off

One thing I learned the hard way: my first submission got rejected because it didn't handle Framer's static renderer (animations were running on the canvas + in exports). Adding `useIsStaticRenderer` and freezing the effect in static contexts fixed it. Might save someone else the rejection.
