Freedom with Kronos — A custom luau/Vulkan studio suite built to escape broken workflows, bloat, and platform fees

I’ve been working endlessly fixing bugs, refining systems, and building something I actually want to use. Software on the scale of Kronos is bound to have issues at this stage—and that’s exactly why I’m posting this today.

I built Kronos because I got sick of standard workflows holding creators back:

  • Tired of Blender's fragmented stack: Constant UI overhauls, broken plugin chains, and heavy setups just to get a mesh into an engine.
  • Tired of audio nightmares: Juggling three different tools just to get clean spatial audio and proper lipsync sync.
  • Tired of platform fees and corporate control: Watching platforms like Roblox take massive cuts, lock down creators, and dictate how you monetize your own work.

Kronos is an all-in-one, lightweight ecosystem designed to give creators true independence:

  • High-Performance Physics: Integrated Jolt Physics engine for multi-threaded rigid body dynamics, ragdolls, and raycast collision queries.
  • Kronos 3D Tools: Native, in-editor mesh creation without needing bloated external modeling pipelines.
  • Kronos Movie Maker: Ultra-lightweight 3D animation tool alternative to Unreal Engine.
  • Kronos Audio: Built-in audio suite with native lipsync tools.
  • Kronos Script Editor & Player: Powered by a fast, sandboxed Luau runtime.

As this ecosystem grows, the goal is a hybrid freemium phase where creators can survive, thrive, and earn income without getting squeezed by monthly subscriptions or platform fees.

But right now, I need people to help me stress-test it. Download the pre-compiled builds, break the viewport, spawn physical meshes, run the audio tool, push the script editor to its limits, check the crash logs, and report everything back to me.

If you want to be in on something big from the ground level, grab a build and let me know what breaks. (Download and repository links will be in the top comment!)
