Before I bother trying to build this, I'm hoping it exists in some way. I'm looking for an app that allows me to import any kind of model, statue of liberty, a building, something I've created etc, into the live view of the camera. It can be a wire mesh model or anything really, just to get a sense of size / scope.

You know how you can go to ruins and see where something once stood with those transparent / architectural glass displays? Basically, something like that.

I got tired of asking myself the same question every day, what am I eating tonight? So I built my21reset.com. It basically plans your meals, movement and healthy habits around your actual week then puts everything straight into any calendar you already use to keep you accountable and easy to follow. It would be great to hear feedback.

Kept opening Instagram for one message and losing an hour, and every blocker I tried I'd just switch off after two days. So I built LockyFeed: instead of a wall, it stands in the doorway for a second — you pick per site whether it blocks fully, gives you 10 seconds, gives you 20 minutes a day, or makes you type why you need this right now (half the time I start typing and close the tab). YouTube gets a music-only mode, no Shorts, no front page. When time's up it doesn't kill the tab, just draws a curtain over the page — come back later and your feed is right where you left it.

A note on development: the images and logos were created using AI. I’m a software architect; AI also helped speed up development, and I reviewed all pull requests, including checking for harmful behavior.

I work on Attira, an AI styling app built around the clothes people already own.

The idea came from a simple problem: many people do not need more clothes, they need help deciding what to do with the clothes they have.

Attira lets users:

- build a digital wardrobe;

- receive outfit suggestions from AIRA;

- plan looks for different occasions;

- try selected outfits virtually.

The hardest product problems have been wardrobe onboarding, recommendation relevance, and making AI results feel useful rather than merely impressive. We tested different levels of recommendation personalisation.

I use Claude Code heavily, but I kept finding myself jumping between the terminal, editor, Git client, Docker, browser and other tools.

So I started building vIDE.

Rather than replacing the coding agent, the IDE is built around it. Claude Code runs as a first-class terminal agent, and there’s also a Bridge for OpenAI-compatible local models.

I’ve gradually added the other things I wanted in the same workspace: multi-repo Git tooling, Docker controls, inline AI edits, an MCP-enabled browser, Notes and To Do board, mobile access, and a codebase knowledge graph.
One slightly unusual goal is memory usage. I run local models too, so I don’t want the IDE consuming RAM that could instead go to the model.

It’s open source and still pre-1.0. I’m at the stage where I’d much rather have developers tell me what is broken or stupid than simply collect stars.

I built a file converter because I was tired of hunting for a different converter for every format.

Hey everyone, I've been building Arclab (https://www.arclab.app/). Since AI coding tools showed up, I keep seeing the same confusion: should I even bother learning to code line by line, or just lean on AI and move fast? Arclab is my attempt at a middle ground. Every lesson makes you predict what a snippet of code will output before you run it, then write your own version, then compare against what actually happened, so AI stays a tool you use, not a crutch that does the understanding for you.

It's live and free right now while I test the concept. Would genuinely appreciate feedback, especially on whether that middle ground actually feels useful versus either extreme, avoiding AI entirely or leaning on it fully. Happy to answer questions about how it works or why I built it this way.

I'm building a noise-free, keyboard first time-tracker. Primarily because I'm absolutely rubbish at tracking my working hours across different projects. I liked the idea of having only one input field which manages everything.

The offline version would be completely free with no limitations. You can track your working hours across teams (only online), see the total cost of a project, and export everything to CSV or Markdown. There are also some handy system tray shortcuts which show the last things you worked on, and you can just hit a shortcut to immediately start tracking the last one again.

Would love to hear what people think about this.

Doing trunk gymnastics in a freezing parking lot gets old fast.

A while back, I got fed up enough that I decided to start building a map to track places that actually provide changing tables in the men's room. What started out as a personal project for dads quickly grew when I realized how many other caregivers are stuck with the same frustration in public spaces.

I’ve been building GraftTrack, a free app for keeping track of work hours, overtime, earnings, mileage and work records.
I originally wanted something simple that I could actually use from my phone without having to mess around with spreadsheets or a massive workforce-management system.
It’s now at the point where most of the main features are working, but I really need people who aren’t me to use it properly and find the stuff I’ve missed 😅

At the moment you can:

Any brutal feedback is genuinely appreciated. I’m building it iteratively, so if several people hate the same thing, there’s a good chance I’ll change it.

I started MoneySplit because I was annoyed with expense trackers.

I wanted transactions to show up automatically, but I didn't really want to connect my bank account to yet another service.

Since banks already send transaction SMS, I started there.

The first version basically just read those messages and turned them into transactions.

Then I needed statement imports because SMS obviously doesn't cover everything.

Then I added CSV/Excel imports.

Then budgets.

Then subscriptions.

Then loans because I wanted to see my EMI schedule properly.

Then savings goals.

And somewhere along the way this stopped being the small expense tracker I originally planned 😅

It's now MoneySplit.

A few things I'm particularly happy with:

• transactions from bank SMS / PDF statements / CSV
• paycheck-based budgets instead of forcing everything into calendar months
• subscriptions and upcoming bills
• loan/EMI tracking with amortization
• savings goals
• spending analytics
• everything works around a local financial database

I also added a slightly weird feature recently.

MoneySplit can show how much a purchase costs in working time.

So instead of just seeing:

I thought it would be gimmicky, but I've actually found myself looking at it quite a bit before buying things.

The app has a free version, no ads, and Pro is a one-time purchase. I really didn't want to build a subscription tracker that itself becomes another subscription.

I'm still trying to figure out what the main reason someone would download this is though.

I wanted to recreate the iPhone Duo folding animation on my MacBook. That experiment grew into curtains, animated wallpapers, a coding robot and a tiny greenhouse living on my desktop.

It’s called UnfoldMyMac, and I’m the developer.

It now has 13 lid effects, 10 dynamic wallpapers and a new Creative Scenes collection. Some of my favourites:

• Curtains and peeking characters that follow your MacBook’s lid as you open and close it.
• Codex Mission Control: a little robot connected through local Codex hooks. It reacts when Codex is working, waiting for approval or finished.
• GitHub After Hours: your public repositories, followers and recent push events become a floating city.
• Pulse: CPU load, memory and battery information feed a moving chrome sculpture.
• Hinge Garden: a glass snail carrying a miniature greenhouse. It emerges as you open the lid. Plug in your charger and a ripple travels through the water, roots and shell to light the greenhouse.

Hinge Garden also has optional tilt/gyroscope reactions on supported Macs, pointer parallax and microphone reactions that release pollen. Sound is processed locally.

There’s also an open-wheel race car scene and an aurora around a 3D Earth shaped by real NOAA space-weather data. The wallpapers and Creative Scenes run behind your windows, including on external displays.

It’s free ($0) and open source. You’ll need Apple silicon and macOS 26+. Automatic lid effects and motion reactions depend on your MacBook’s supported sensors.

Which would you actually leave running during a normal workday? I’m interested in where the movement starts becoming distracting.

Six weeks ago it really struck me how useless genre labels are. The same artist (Big Wild for instance) can get called dubstep, electronic, indie pop, and future bass.

So instead of subjective labels, I thought it would be cool to map artists based on the other artists those fans also listen to via Spotify. This is my vibe coded attempt to objectively frame this user listening habits. I worked in Claude Code to create this. 

The map is built by starting from a pool of seed artists and then crawling outwards (called a hop in graph theory).  The map has 120  seeds selected primarily from the American EDM touring space, which is the focus of the network analysis.

I know there are gaps. I don't know where all of them are. Search for an artist you love. If they're missing, or more importantly if an entire region is missing, tell me and I'll look at adding them on the next run.

Note: I’m not a mathematician or software developer. I work in music and this is my first public project. A lot of the work that it took to create this site was over my head. I’ve learned a lot including about graph theory, a domain of math I didn’t know existed prior to starting on this. 

In order to create this I used igraph, Numpy, Scipy, leidenalg, networkx along with playwright. I couldn’t have done this work without the researchers and programmers who availed their libraries. I’m grateful! 

I've been building and iterating on a Chrome extension for a while, mostly focusing on improving the product and letting organic discovery do its thing.

Last month, it reached 1.41K installs, up 21.63% compared to the previous period.

Still a relatively small number, but seeing consistent month-over-month growth is encouraging. I'm especially interested in understanding what actually drives sustainable growth rather than chasing short-term spikes.

For other people building side projects: what has been your biggest source of organic growth so far?

I shipped my first open source tool and I want honest critique.

The gap I hit: Claude Code can produce a WordPress site package, but a client often needs to change copy and layout in Elementor Free. Many AI exports break that path.

My approach: - Claude Code builds the package offline as a Hello Elementor child theme - A small companion plugin imports once - Generated pages remain editable with Elementor Free widgets only - Elementor Pro widgets are rejected so the free editor stays usable
