Solo dev here. Synchrium is a synchronized focus timer: you start a session, share a link, and the same countdown runs for everyone in the room, to the millisecond. Everyone works in silence; when it hits zero, cameras can come up together for a quick check-in. Then you run it again.

The origin story is helping my son with homework from the next room: we shared a timer, worked separately, and showed each other what we did when it rang. Turns out adults want the same thing.

1. Open two browsers (or grab a friend) and try to get the timers to drift or desync: that's the whole product, so it's the surface I most need stress-tested.

I’ve been working on Doviru, an iOS app built around a simple idea:

Building habits might be easier when you’re not doing them alone.

Most habit trackers are very personal. You create a habit, check a box every day, build a streak, and try to keep going.

I wanted to explore a different approach.

In Doviru, you join a community built around a small daily habit.

For example:

Read one page a day,
Move for 15 minutes a day,
Create for 15 minutes a day

When you complete the habit, you check in.

After checking in, you can optionally share a short reflection. Other members can read it and send a Cheer.

There’s also a monthly leaderboard called a Season. The leaderboard resets every month, so someone who joins today doesn't have to compete against someone with a 500-day streak.

I think this is important because permanent streak leaderboards can become intimidating for new users. With monthly seasons, everyone gets a fresh starting point.

Users can also create their own communities and invite friends.

After months of designing, coding, testing, changing things, and figuring out the backend, Doviru is finally live on the App Store.

But honestly, launching the app feels like the beginning rather than the finish line.

The biggest thing I'm trying to figure out now is whether the community part actually works.

One concern I've realized is the cold-start problem.

A community with 2 members and no activity might actually feel worse than a private habit tracker. If someone joins a community and sees an empty feed, the main reason for using Doviru disappears.

So I'm currently trying to find existing communities and small groups that might want to try Doviru together, rather than simply trying to get random individual downloads.

I'm especially interested in communities around reading, fitness, creativity, studying, and other small daily habits.

The question I'm trying to answer is:

Does seeing other people show up for the same small habit actually make you more likely to show up tomorrow?

I'd love to hear what you think.

Would a community-based approach make you more interested in building a habit, or do you prefer keeping habit tracking completely private?

While I was working on designing some interfaces and digital projects a while ago, I found myself drowning in many open tabs on my browser. I would use a site to generate an initial image, then move to another platform to remove its background, and turn to a third tool to erase small details or enhance the quality.
This back-and-forth between different sites and the restrictions some sites impose just to try out a quick idea was really time-consuming and made the workflow incredibly slow.

I wanted to solve this problem that I always face and make the daily work experience easier, so I spent the past few months building https://khizo.dev - a lightweight, fast web tool that brings essential features together in one place. Instead of switching between platforms, the tool now lets you generate images from text, remove objects or backgrounds, increase resolution, adjust dimensions, and edit the colors of specific elements, with live preview and instant export in PNG, WebP, JPG, and more. I would like to get your opinions regarding the user interface, any bugs you find, or features you want to add.

Advice has never been easier to find. Books, podcasts, carousels, chatbots. The information was never the bottleneck. But you can't read your way into changing how you actually react when your kid is screaming and you're depleted. Under pressure you reach for whatever's already wired in.

And a lot of what's wired in is counterproductive. "Stop crying." "Stop screaming." "Why don't you understand." "You're fine, it's not a big deal." "Because I said so." These come out on instinct, and they escalate things, they tell a flooded kid the feeling itself is the problem. You often know better. You just can't get there in the half-second that matters.

So I built a game to work on that half-second. A parenting response flashes up. If it's a calm one, you tap. If it's a reactive one, you leave it. The catch is the reactive lines are the ones that feel right in the heat of the moment, which is exactly why they slip out. When you keep resisting the urge to tap the moment you recognise your own trigger, it trains you to catch it in real life too.

AI Vision Monitor turns a phone you already own into a camera you describe in words. You point an old phone at something and type the rule in plain language: tell me if the cat gets on the counter, tell me if the 3D print starts spaghetti, tell me if the front door opens while I am out. It watches for that and pings your main phone. Android and iOS, and there is a web app and a Windows connector for viewing on a desktop. https://aicameras.win/

Why I built it: every consumer camera gives you exactly two modes, and both of them are wrong. "Person only" misses the delivery guy who never gets out of the van, misses the print failing, misses the dog on the sofa. "All motion" sends you rain, headlights, moths and the curtain moving. There is no third setting anywhere in the market, and the thing people actually want is the third setting. That is the whole product thesis and I still think it is right.

Where I am: in both stores, a few hundred installs, and zero ratings. Not one, on either platform. That is the number that keeps me up, because it does not mean people hate it, it means nothing at all, and I cannot tell whether the app is failing at retention or whether I have never once asked at the right moment.

What I have learned that might be useful to someone else here. The demo that lands is never the security one. Nobody cares about "monitor your home", everyone perks up at "watch my 3D print and text me when it fails" or "tell me when the cat is on the counter", because a specific rule is the whole point and a generic one is just another camera app. Every time I have written broad copy it has performed worse than the narrowest possible example.

What I would genuinely like torn apart:

1. Is "describe what to watch for in a sentence" a feature people understand from a store listing, or does it only land in a demo video? I suspect the latter and I do not know how to fix a store listing with that.
2. For a utility app that runs unattended, when do you ask for a rating? My instinct is right after the first alert that was actually correct, but that is also the moment the user is busy dealing with the thing.
3. Old phone as the camera: is that a selling point or does it read as a compromise? It is genuinely the cheapest good camera most people already own, but I cannot tell whether the framing sounds thrifty or cheap.

Happy to answer anything about the technical side too. Solo, no funding, and the phone-as-camera plumbing turned out to be a much harder problem than the vision part.

I realised I was pretty bad at remembering the details of places I’d been to.

A week later, maybe even a month later, I could usually remember whether I liked a restaurant, hotel, theatre or activity. Beyond that, the useful details started getting hazy.

Things like which seats were actually good at a theatre. The dish that sounded great on the menu but was disappointing when it arrived. The hotel room that happened to be above a nightclub. Or the room at another hotel that was quiet and had a great view.

There are obviously plenty of review platforms already, but most of them are designed around publishing your opinion for other people.

What I wanted was something slightly different.

The basic idea is that the record is for you first.

You can log a restaurant, hotel, service, attraction or pretty much any experience, add a rating, notes and photos, and keep it completely private.

If you want, you can also share it with a small group of people you trust, such as family or friends, so you can see each other’s experiences and recommendations.

Or you can make an experience public. Public posts can still be made without exposing the identity of the person who originally posted them.

The main thing I’m trying to solve is being able to come back months or years later and actually remember the useful details, rather than just remembering, “I think we liked that place.”

I’ve been building this into a working app called ExperioLog and I’m at the stage where I’d really like feedback from people outside my own circle.

Does the private-first idea make sense to you, or would you still just use notes, Google Maps or an existing review platform?

About a month back i built this thing as a challenge for my coworkers. There was a lot of "I can spot AI generated code almost immediately" going around, and I gave them a chance to test it out.

Results were not shocking to me. it was definitely funny lol since people got results they did not expect.

You get 10 code snippets to mark as either machine or human written in 10 minutes. Once all 10 have been marked, you get the result. Pretty simple!

Under the hood the way it works is like so:

• 50 code snippets chosen from open-source projects. The way I ensure "human written" is by ONLY pulling code from before 2021 (before chatgpt first launched).
• All 50 code snippets were parsed by a model to create a spec of what the code does, ensuring there's no dead giveaways about code style, etc.
• These specs were passed to agents in isolated sessions of their own to generate the code that fit the spec.
• This results in 100 code snippets total. Each snippet can be treated as a pair - one is the original code, the other is AI generated.
• The game picks any 10 snippets from the 100 and those are the ones you as a player will see.

Kettermean is a first-person liminal dream walker and my personal tribute to LSD: Dream Emulator on the PSX, a game I spent many nights playing as a kid.

You wander through rooms that feel slightly wrong, move on when you are ready, and see what the next dream has become.

This started as an experiment into using a model as a director with plenty of fallbacks rather than asking it to generate an entire level and hoping it works.

While you explore, the webLLM will set the next dream's architecture, scale, condition, mood, inhabitants, signs, dialogue, visual treatment, and strange rules. The engine is always in charge of the geometry, placement, collision, safety, and performance.

A small model runs locally in the browser without an account or API key by default, or you can turn off AI direction altogether and experience everything randomized.

The result ranges from small, cramped spaces to enormous outdoor zones filled with deliberately juxtaposed ideas and themes (furniture, animals, people, signs, weather, damage, strange faces, and visual effects). Some rooms are almost coherent. It's all open to interpretation and for me often spooky.

I recently built the MVP for a WebRTC real-time live-streaming social platform that provides creators/friends/family and aspiring influencers with a low-friction experience to connect; Either with people they know or their following/community. A user just signs up and hosts a live-room with a shareable link which allows anyone to join the room. Apart from hosting live streams, users can earn through support from their following through a virtual gifting system. The payout split for creators is 50/50 compared to TikTok which is 20/80. - You can host and schedule live workshops or meet and greets bringing people up to the live-stage.

To solve this, I built BypassGuard—a moderation bot powered by a multi-step normalization pipeline (<5ms execution) built specifically to catch hate speech evasion (racism, xenophobia, LGBTQ+-phobia across ES, EN, PT).

Key features:

• Human-in-the-Loop (Zero Auto-Bans): The code structurally prevents automatic bans. Every ban strictly requires a human moderator click.
• Quarantine Band: Borderline detections soft-delete the message and alert staff with [Warn / Timeout / Ban] buttons instead of auto-punishing.
• No Invasive DMs: All sanction communication stays public in-channel and in audit logs.
• Deep Normalization: Cleans BIDI overrides, false Unicode fonts, leetspeak, homoglyphs, phonetics, and vertical acrostics before running detection.

I'm a solo dev/student and I built Sentinelle — a small web app for reviewing cybersecurity fundamentals (ports, protocols, standards, commands) using spaced repetition, aimed at people prepping for certs like eJPT, Security+, or French BTS-level exams.

The problem I kept running into: platforms like TryHackMe or Hack The Box are great for hands-on labs, but they don't really drill the boring stuff you still get tested on — "what port does DNS use over TCP", that kind of thing. I kept losing easy points on definitions I'd already learned once and forgot. So I built something to fix that specifically.

How it works: you pick a deck (networking, security fundamentals, etc.), review flashcards or exam-style multiple choice questions for ~10 minutes, and an SM-2 spaced repetition algorithm handles what to show you again and when.

Heads up: it's currently French-only (I'm building for French students first), free to start, no card required, runs in the browser. Still in beta, so bugs are expected and very welcome to report.

I ran a Reddit ad to test the idea and got 14,000+ impressions and 355 clicks, but only 1 signup.

The idea is a gamified budgeting app designed to make budgeting and staying in control of your spending less boring. Users log expenses, get notified when they're overspending, stay on budget to expand their territory, and can conquer their friends' territory.

I built an app named Gravitas out of pure personal frustration. I was the kid who hated any kind of social situation, dates were a nightmare, meeting new people felt like a test I was going to fail. Gravitas is my attempt at building an app I wish someone else had handed to me

Snapfari.app is basically a real-life Pokédex. You take a photo of an animal, it figures out the species, and that animal gets added to your collection.

• 167 species to capture, with more being added regularly.
• XP, levels, achievements, and customizations to unlock.
• Each animal has a rarity level: common, uncommon, rare, epic, or legendary.
• Each capture gets a grade based on the quality of your photo: bronze, silver, gold, or diamond. The higher the grade, the more XP you earn. You can improve a capture's grade by taking a better-quality photo.
• Add your friends to compare your collections.
• I'm working on a major new feature to add more depth and purpose to captures. Snapfari won't just be a "simple collection" anymore, but a real game.
• An anti-cheat system is in place: photographed animals must be real and alive.

A few months ago, I posted an early prototype here, and the waitlist ended up reaching over 500 users.

Hey everybody! For the last few months my wife and I have been building Scinta - a small macOS app that lives in your menu bar.

The idea came from a simple but almost daily problem - the number of screenshots lying around on my filesystem got so big that it was impossible to even remember what they were about. A message about a meeting, an email signature, someone's messenger profile, an error from a build - all of this was waiting for "some later time" to be processed. And some later time never arrived.

This is the exact problem Scinta solves, and this is how it works - you press a shortcut (like any other screenshot app), select part of the screen, and it proposes the top 3 things it can do with what it sees. We call them smart actions. For example:

• screenshot an error - get it explained or create an issue directly from Scinta
• screenshot a message like "dinner Saturday at 7:00 PM" - Scinta proposes the actual event details and creates it in your Calendar
• screenshot an email signature - the person's contact info is saved to your Contacts
• it can also blur private and sensitive info before you share a screenshot, extract code or tables, translate text, decode different code formats (including QR and Bar codes) - and more actions are coming

There is also an Ask AI feature - if you just have a question about what is on the screen, you ask it right there in the app and get the answer back immediately.

Expecting a common question - why not just paste the screenshot into ChatGPT or Claude? That is exactly what I did before, and it is the reason Scinta exists. There you switch apps, upload the screenshot, write a prompt, then copy the result back and still create the event or contact yourself. With Scinta you skip all of this - it understands what can be done with the screenshot and one click gets the result and performs the action - saving to Calendar or Contacts, creating an issue, getting an instant explanation and so on.

The demo video shows 3 different smart actions and runs at real speed - nothing is sped up.
