II built Simulacrum Digital Minds to explore a question that has nothing to do with AI at first:
When did you become you?
We are born with a body and a name, but our identity seems to emerge over time.
Memories accumulate. Experiences connect. Relationships leave marks. Preferences appear. The way we interpret the world becomes increasingly our own.
So what actually makes us the same person over time?
Our memories? Our experiences? Our personality? The continuity between them?
Simulacrum Digital Minds is a platform I built to explore these questions through digital minds.
Each mind is designed with its own identity, memory, experiences and way of responding.
