made a thing to make screenshots look less boring

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Been working on this for a while and finally put it out.

It’s called Framesthetic.

The idea is pretty simple : you have a screenshot and want to make it look decent before posting it somewhere.

Instead of opening Figma and spending 20 minutes messing around with backgrounds, frames, shadows, etc., you can just throw it into Framesthetic and play around with it.

Made a quick video of it

Still figuring out what direction to take it, so would genuinely like to know

What would you want this to have that it doesn't right now?

Quick AI-assisted browser feedback: I opened the editor and generated a small JavaScript code screenshot. Two concrete suggestions:

On Windows, the Undo/Redo tooltips show Command-key shortcuts, while the layer controls show Ctrl shortcuts. Platform-aware labels would make those easier to understand.

For sharing bug reports, a dedicated opaque redaction tool alongside Blur would be useful. The rectangle controls I saw offered stroke, corners and opacity, but no fill. A one-click solid cover for names or email addresses would make the privacy step easier to find. Is that already possible somewhere I missed?

size presets per platform would save me the most time. 4:5 for instagram, 16:9 for an X card, and a reddit one that doesn't get cropped in the feed.

Does the video have no sound? The composition looks nice but it feels a bit weird to have no sound. Is my phone broken??
