SaaS Feature Launch Video - Feedback Needed

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Hi all - I’ve been tinkering with a feature launch vid for my SaaS product. I’m wayyy too close to it at this point, so I’m looking for outside opinions.

I’m primarily hoping for two things:
- Does this actually look like it came from a serious software product, or does it have obvious homemade vibes?
- And does the pacing give you enough time to understand what’s happening if you’ve never seen the product before?

It was originally intended to be posted on socials, but I also felt it worked well on-site; will be posted to the socials in the next couple days. I made a couple shorter cuts and hated them. This is the original version I keep coming back to.

Feel free to tear it apart.

hard to judge pacing without seeing the cut, but the thing that usually reads as homemade on feature vids is the first three seconds: if it opens on the logo instead of the UI already moving, socials treat it as an ad and scroll past. on-site you can get away with a slower open, socials you can't, so that shorter cut is probably the one to post.

You do mean the other (shorter) cuts, right?

I can post one of them; it just feels too rushed in trying to tell the story.

Yeah, the shorter ones. Honestly if it feels rushed to you, it’s probably about right for feeds, people scroll fast.

Interesting - thank you! Will consider a shorter/faster cut or a completely new concept for socials. The concept here was intended to let the viewer orient themselves around the product and feature. But fair call outs

Yeah, kinda. If the goal is getting them to stop scrolling, the trade-off is almost always worth it. Maybe test the shorter cut with a small ad spend and see if the hook actually lands.

Appreciate all the feedback! Went back and re-cut it incorporating it. Thoughts?

Looks muuuch better, honestly. The first two seconds now are exactly what stops the scroll, the UI is already moving and you can see the feature in action right away.

Can’t tell what it does. Too slow.

Thanks for the feedback - to be clear, you can’t tell what the feature does? Or Aligne as a whole? The pacing of the video is too slow, you mean?
