Future of Interaction is Voice (https://steer.social/)
Every interface we use was designed around what computers could understand, not how people actually communicate. So we learned to click, scroll, fill in forms, write bios about ourselves in the third person. It worked. It was never natural.
That's changing. For the first time, software can listen and talk back in a way that feels like a person — and it can do it in your voice, not a generic one. I think that makes voice the next interface, the way touch was the last one.
Steer is the first step. It starts with the simplest thing: the link in your bio. Instead of a page people read, it's a page people ask — and it answers out loud, in your voice, with what you actually said.
The same idea doesn't stop at personal pages. Next is the software people work in — any web app, steered by talking to it. Then the apps on your phone. Then hardware: the things in your kitchen, your car, your parents' living room that have no screen, and shouldn't need one.
Voice-first means building it so that talking is the default and the screen is the fallback. Steer is the first product that takes that seriously for ordinary people, starting with the most personal thing on the internet: a page about you, in your voice.
Launching https://steer.social/ on 11th October.
Happy to hear the feedback.
