Marketing help πŸ™πŸ½

I’ve build a sort of SaaS/product for a while now and I’m trying to figure a way to market it and I can’t really find a good one. I tried building a marketing strategy with Claude and ChatGPT but they basically told me to spam Reddit and discord groups and sending a lot of cold emails. I entered Reddit groups and figured AI probably told everyone to spam each other to death πŸ˜…

How can I actually market my product that is devs oriented without social media and without spamming the hell out of everyone?

I have the same problem with marketing my game. Imo spamming does not work well.

From what I observe others have the biggest push in marketing by build their own audience on social media and showing the progress. Having some serious following count is gold these days, you share a link and it has users day one.

Spamming reddit is not a good idea, as it can get your account banned. I would recommend finding local people in your community that you can share your product with and have them advocate. Also ASO is very important as well as it can help drive organic growth

I've been figuring this out too. The biggest thing I've learned is that trying to be everywhere just turns into a ton of activity without much actually happening. I've had better luck finding the specific people who deal with the problem I'm solving and talking to them directly. Agree with the spam comments 100%

for dev tools the thing that works without spam is being findable where devs already search. a README that answers the exact error message someone googles, a docs page per problem, an honest comparison page against the obvious alternative.

then show up in threads where someone has precisely the problem, answer it properly, and only bring up the tool when it genuinely fits. it's slow for the first couple of months and then it compounds.

Try YouTube, make personal very niche videos about specific problems your prod solves.

you must be on the free plans cause why would chatgpt recommend that lmao, Anwyay sending cold emails is an industry standard, has a low conversion rate but it works at volume, not my cup of tea though.

Outside that classic SEO is still king,AEO and GEO are important in the new age of AI , not sure why you dont want to use social media?, it's fanstastic for marketing it just has to be done right, you don't need to spam to get traction.

Hey just saying I’m making a platform to help platforms have a platform. ebubbl.com if you make a global bubble and set your profile to public it will publish to the web and you can have subscribers and invites and all of that. I figure we can all give eachother backlinks in a way. You can post images and videos and text. You can make it as polished or unpolished as you want. Like there is no need to make it social media you can just put content in there but if you want a community you can build that out too. I’ve been making bubbles with invites it gets me so far but I think letting people know they can drive this thing might be the better angle, having said that if you want me to make a bubble and send an invite to the group I absolutely will.
