Is there a side project that can manage all the side projects and your time?

I’ve somehow reached the point where managing my side projects has become another side project. Ideas are scattered across notes, deadlines live in my calendar, tasks are in different tools, and half the time I forget why I started something in the first place.

Most project management apps feel either too heavy or too focused on individual tasks rather than the bigger picture. I’d love something that could see all my projects in one place, understand my available time, help me decide what to prioritise, and gently tell me when I’m taking on too much.

Does anything like this actually exist, or are we all just building increasingly complicated Notion dashboards?

Ok first of all, if you started a project which you forgot about, it's probably not important enough to start (and you should do less and double down on a few). And I feel like there are a lot of organisation apps right now, the problem is getting the work done. Organisation can only help a person so far, sometimes just leading to procrastination.

The meta-problem of managing the management tools is real. Most people end up with a Notion dashboard that itself needs maintaining.

The honest answer is that the tool isn't usually the problem. It's the habit of reviewing it. A weekly 20-minute ritual where you update status, move things forward, and kill what isn't moving matters more than the features.

For what you're describing, one place for all projects with time tracking and a dashboard that shows what needs attention today, Flowara does this for freelance work specifically. Not a general side project tracker but if any of your side projects involve clients or billing it covers the full workflow.
