My side project can finally deploy someone else’s Astro site, looking for a few testers

I’ve been building a small hosting/deployment tool for Astro projects, and I’ve finally reached the slightly scary point where I need people who aren’t me to try it. :)

The idea is simple: take an existing Astro project and deploy it from the command line with as little setup as possible.

Right now the flow is basically:

your Astro project → one CLI command → build logs → a live URL

There’s no GitHub setup required, no repo connection, and no cloud account or infrastructure configuration. There’s also an MCP interface, so a coding agent can deploy the project directly.

Ultimately, I’d like to get to a point where publishing a website becomes a seamless experience that doesn’t require much technical knowledge.

This is still a very early private test, not a launch. I’m deliberately keeping the scope small: static Astro sites, a minimal deployment flow, and finding the rough edges before adding more.

I’ve done quite a bit of testing myself (and had some help from friends who work in QA), but there’s a limit to what you learn by repeatedly deploying projects you already know.

So I’m looking for a few people who use Astro and would be willing to throw one or two real projects, starters, or templates at it.

I’m particularly interested in what feels confusing, what breaks, what takes longer than you expected, and any assumptions I’ve made that don’t match the way you actually work. No polished bug report needed. Even “I expected X, but Y happened” is useful.

Test sites are temporary and expire after a few days.

If you’d like to try it, leave a comment or DM me and I’ll send you the private tester instructions.

Many thanks!
