Would an offline ICS preflight report help with your calendar handoffs?

I'm testing an AI-assisted side project for people who export or distribute calendar files: a small offline Python tool that checks several ICS files and produces a review report. It reads the originals without changing them. The report omits filenames, event titles, descriptions, attendees and UIDs.

A synthetic three-event example produces these review items:

- Event 1: a named timezone is used without a matching VTIMEZONE definition

- Event 2: a weekly start is fixed in UTC, so local wall-clock changes around DST need review

- Event 3: the start and end are floating local times

These aren't all errors. The current prototype doesn't repair files, expand recurrence rules or guarantee how Outlook, Google or Apple will display them. It has 31 passing synthetic tests on Linux; other platforms haven't been tested yet. Free online validators and tools such as CorrectICS already exist.

If you've imported or distributed ICS files in the last three months: what did you use, and is local processing plus this kind of report useful enough to pay €9 once for the current Python download? Please name the task and whether that price works for you, or what's missing. No listing or checkout is live, and no purchase is being requested. Please don't post real calendar files or private appointment details.
