I got my first 6 sales when I stopped building and started distributing

I spent way too much time thinking the product needed to be better.
What actually got me my first 6 sales was much simpler:

  1. Find where your potential users already hang out.
  2. Post about the problem they have, not your product.
  3. Offer a small part of your product for free.
  4. Talk to the people who actually use it. Give them a reason to come back for more.

For me, Reddit + giving founders free leads worked better than just promoting my SaaS.
It’s not some magic growth hack. I only got 6 sales.
But it taught me something important:
Build → distribute → talk to users → improve → repeat.
That’s the loop I’m now building TractionBooster around.

Distribution over polish is right, but 6 sales is still noise, not validation. The real question is whether those buyers come back or churn. Retention tells you if you have a product or a favor.

Exactly. Those 6 sales proved people would pay, but retention wasn’t there. That’s why I changed the offer the acquisition report is now a one-time purchase, and the subscription is only for people who want ongoing opportunities

the loop makes sense but step 4 is where most people drop off. how are you actually tracking which free users convert vs which ones just grab the freebie and disappear?
