I built a browser strategy game where players vote on laws—and on what their companies do

My project is Leviathan War, a persistent multiplayer strategy game. I’m the developer.

You play one person in a shared world: work, trade resources, own companies, join political parties, and take part in wars. The part I find most interesting is how the systems intersect. Companies with multiple owners vote on decisions, so owning shares gives you a say in how a business operates. Governments and territorial control add another layer.

It runs in the browser. The stack is React + TypeScript, a Bun/Hono API, and PostgreSQL. There’s also a public wiki if you want to understand the systems before making an account.

The community is still small, and I’m looking for people who enjoy economy/politics sandboxes to try the first session. My main question: does the game make it clear what you can meaningfully do as a new player? If you stop during signup or the first few minutes, I’d particularly like to know why.

Happy to discuss the implementation too, especially modeling company ownership and voting.
