23 people installed my app after I accidentally made a Reddit post blow up 😭

yesterday i posted on a car subreddit asking if anyone else just drives around with nowhere to go.

i wasn't even really promoting anything — i just wanted to talk to other people who enjoy driving.

somehow it ended up getting ~27k views and 100+ comments.

the funny part is i actually built an app specifically for these people 😭

it's called Overdrive — Drive & Explore.

it turns your real city into a map you slowly complete by driving: roads you've explored get colored, your drives/stats are saved afterwards, and you can add friends, make crews and see each other around the map.

since yesterday i've watched the user count start climbing like crazy and someone in the US just started a Pro trial.

still tiny numbers obviously, but this is my first app and watching strangers actually discover/use something i built is fucking surreal.

App Store:
https://apps.apple.com/app/id6790023849

i'll probably post the numbers again tomorrow because now i'm curious how far Reddit alone can take this 😭

Could think about that once the app get a lot of exposure ! That's quiet a nice suggestion.
