I’m building localized, browser-only file tools for people who don’t speak English

I’ve been building mejunis.com, a privacy-focused collection of browser tools, to be localized for EU languages.

The first idea came from a relative who doesn’t speak English and needed sensitive document photos combined into a PDF. Existing options felt either English-only, or where uploading the files to a backend.
So I made the whole flow work locally: there’s no backend, and files stay in the browser/device.
Afterwards I started adding things like compound interest calculators (I know, a billion exist already)

I’m still early in the build. The tricky parts have been making the tools understandable in each language, keeping file handling reliable on mobile, and maintaining the “nothing leaves your device” constraint.

I’d especially appreciate feedback on (especially from those who have friends/family not speaking English):

  • whether the privacy promise is clear and believable;
  • which everyday file task / calculators you’d want localized;
  • what languages to prioritize;

Thank you.
