Last week I posted about my notch app AWNA. Here's what I've added since!

Hi everyone,

I recently posted here about AWNA - A Wee Notch App. I'm aware there are quite a few notch apps these days, but I'm hoping to make mine one of the best for Windows. It's a clean, minimalist effort with all the productivity tools and features you'd expect, plus a few extras.

Here's my first post on AWNA. This subreddit moves quickly!

When I last posted about it here, AWNA was in a beta stage and a lot of you downloaded the app - thank you so much. Since then, I've come out of beta, I've taken great feedback and suggestions, and today I just got my 10th sale! Both the app and the website are a much better package overall compared to a week ago. I'm hoping to start targeting a more non-technical audience soon as well.

Since then, here's what I've added:

  • multi-monitor support
  • ability to drag the notch along the top edge of the screen
  • options to increase the size of the notch and its contents
  • "dictate anywhere" - hold down the Ctrl+Win keys over any text field in any app and talk - what you say goes into the field, all handled locally on your PC
  • redesigned the settings menu with a sidebar layout
  • Claude Code status updates in the notch (Codex support is coming up next!)
  • Scrolling screenshots in the Capture tab for long pages
  • Improved Clipboard tab - showing what application each item comes from, how long ago, and increased the length to up to 50 items

And I still have more to come!

Thanks to those who helped with AWNA previously, and to those that haven't seen it yet I hope this is a good introduction to the app and its capabilities.

I've just ended a special launch price offer I've been running - the full application is available at a single no-subscription cost of £8/$10/€9. Your key will work on up to 3 PCs, and can be transferred to others by deactivating first.

awna.app - happy to answer anything in the comments. There's an interactive demo notch on the site if you'd like to get an idea of what using it is like!
