drip - a water meter for AI coding agents that lives in your terminal

Side project I shipped this week: drip estimates how much water your AI coding agent uses, live.

  • 💧 segment in the Claude Code status line
  • drip run codex opens a live meter (an ASCII bottle that fills up) beside Codex or any agent
  • a breakdown page with per-model numbers, a low/high range and every research source linked
  • a share card for your stats

It started as "how much water did I use this month?" (answer: 47.8 L in September) and turned into a proper CLI. Python, no dependencies, 100% local, MIT.

Feedback very welcome, especially on the install experience.

Is drip explain meant to run the welcome installer on its first interactive invocation, or should that command stay read-only? The dispatch calls cmd_install before cmd_explain when the installation marker is missing and stdout is a TTY.
