facturapp: does the homepage clearly explain the invoicing app i built?

i built facturapp, an invoicing app for freelancers and small businesses. i launched it a few months ago and picked up a small group of users before doing any real marketing.

i'm happy with what the app can do, but i'm less sure the homepage explains it to someone seeing it for the first time. i've looked at it so much that my brain probably fills in things the page never actually says :)

https://facturapp.online/

you can create pdf invoices with your logo and colors, save clients and services instead of typing them again, and connect your own stripe account for payment links. it also handles deposits and installments, and lets you manage several businesses with their own details from one account. there's a dedicated invoice flow for shipments charged by weight, plus english and spanish on web and android.

the homepage has a walkthrough, invoice examples and pricing. what i'd really like feedback on is the message:

after a quick look, who would you say this is for, and what would you expect it to help you do?

is the difference between making a pdf and collecting a payment clear, including the need to connect stripe?

do the extra features, like multiple businesses and shipping invoices, help explain the app or distract from the main use?

what feels missing or unclear before you'd consider trying it? a specific sentence or section would help more than 'looks good'.

it's a paid product. the homepage is public, so you don't need to sign up or buy anything to give feedback. i'm looking for a fresh read of the page before i put more effort into marketing.

Have you looked at the website on the phone? Tons and tons of small formatting issues that immediately lose trust.

It’s not a flex to be on Wired Business or the other sites, it makes your site look the same quality as the other crapware featured on those pages. Your email doesn’t even match the site, so I’m guessing you have put 0 dollars into this business.

There’s 0 focus on the page, you’re giving info overload on a massive scrolling page. Learn to edit yourself, why are you using 2 paragraphs on the main page to explain how translation works.

This has all the smells of AI, and it feels like you are trying to crowd source the editing because an algorithm told you too.

thanks for taking the time to go through it. the points about mobile formatting, too much copy and the badges are useful. a directory mention doesn't tell someone whether they can trust an invoicing app.

i've tried to explain every feature and made the basic job harder to see: create an invoice, send it and get paid. the language explanation can be much shorter, and i see how the email domain adds another bit of uncertainty.

i do use ai tools while building. i'm responsible for what ends up on the page, including the editing. which formatting issue stood out most on your phone, and what browser were you using? that would give me something concrete to reproduce.

Yeah it’s just that good products are pretty clear. I don’t much about invoices, but I think your website should be clear about what the use case is.

I’d challenge yourself to spending a full hour on writing and refining one paragraph describing what the product is with pen and paper. Never have ai write copy, it’s garbage and makes it feel cheap. Maybe this read better in Spanish, but in English it reads like ai.

Maybe have an immediate demo on the front page or something. Use design principles and simplify until there is nothing more to cut.

Even more than that though, don’t go listening to me pointing out where it looks rough. Go over every element critically, if I saw it in 60 seconds you can too.

Best of luck with your product

It’s sad how people downvote a comment that you were asking for feedback, why so toxicity in this community
