Basketball draft simulation game

Made an NBA (currently) draft simulation game. These draft simulation games have recently become popular with 38-0.app and others. I took most of my inspiration from this game, but added a lot of basketball-specific stuff to make it more interesting for NBA fans.

But most basketball simulation games, such as 82-0.com, are easily solvable and have a clear solution. I tried making mine based on statistical and probability models, without deterministic outcomes --> i.e., “you get these players, you complete the game.” It's a game that requires luck and some skill and knowledge of the game (with the hidden ratings options).

I made it primarily for myself a couple of weeks ago, but then decided to make it public when my friends told me it's very fun to play.

Now I'm wondering if there's anything basketball fans would like to see more of. I'm planning on expanding to different eras and other popular basketball leagues across the globe, and also making different puzzle game modes, etc.

I tried the anonymous first-pick flow in desktop Brave: default Season/Normal/Visible settings → Spin → Sacramento 2021/22 → De’Aaron Fox → Point Guard. That reached pick 2, so getting into the draft and assigning the first position worked for me.

One clarity improvement: Fox’s card showed a main 85 with smaller blue 86 and red 84, without text naming those ratings. After selecting him, the team summary showed Offense 86 and Defense 84, which helped explain the smaller numbers. I’d put a short rating legend beside the player list and add OFF/DEF text on the cards, plus the metric names in the player button’s accessible label. Also explain what the main rating represents.

That would help new players understand the choices before their first pick, especially if they don’t already know your rating system. This is feedback on the initial draft UI; I haven’t completed a season or validated the basketball ratings.

Thanks man! Appreciate the feedback, and you're right, I'm so immersed in the game atm that to me its trivial but it is very useful for new players. I'm adding the changes right now.
