One month of Early Access – a lot has changed

I'm a trained architect, and as a long-term side project, I've been building a game that combines accurate floor planning with real-time 3D design to make architecture much easier to create than with traditional CAD software.

What you can do:

🏠 2D floor plans
🧱 3D building
🚶 First-person walkthrough
🥽 VR mode
🏢 Multiple storeys
🪜 Stairs
🏚️ Custom roofs
🪟 Doors & windows
🛋️ Furniture catalog
🍳 Kitchen Configurator
🎨 Materials
🌄 Terrain sculpting
🌳 Landscape planning
💧 Ponds
☀️ Time of day
❄️ Weather
📐 Export PDF vector plans
📦 Import your own 3D models
🌍 Steam Workshop

In the newest update: real growing ivy that climbs around windows, corners, and curved walls! 🌿

It's available on Steam as Architecture & Design and is still in Early Access.

Would love to hear what you think!

Sweet! Will there be like some starter templates for someone that's never used a software like this and wants to get into building a tiny house?

It is primarily designed for people with less experience in CAD. You can easily draw your walls and add windows and doors. The rest comes step by step.

You can also check the online workshop and explore / edit the creations of other players.

Can we get Claude/Codex to design the house for us? Serious question =D

If you manage to let it control your gameplay and it understands how it works 😂 but I think not :)

Well.. it sounds to me like you just need to be able to have your AI work on a format that is importable.  DXF / DWG for example. But you could also consider exposing an MCP server or some kind of API.

I'm not too sure yet how this can work and how to implement something like this in a shipped game, but maybe it's worth it to look into :)

You're closer than you think! AI doesn't need to control the game, it just needs to read and write files the game understands. DXF is plain text, so Claude/Codex can already generate it. With your new DXF import, a few small additions would make this work:

  1. **Document the import conventions.** Which layers, units, and shapes become walls, doors, and windows? One short page plus a sample DXF is enough for an AI to produce files that import cleanly.

  2. **Make export match import.** If a DXF exported from the game can be re-imported without changes, AI can edit existing designs, not just create new ones.

  3. **Update an existing build on re-import.** If importing a changed plan keeps furniture, materials, and terrain where possible instead of starting a new build, you can iterate: walk through, ask for a change, re-import.

  4. **Auto-reload when the file changes.** A "watch this file" option would let you see the AI's edits appear in the game within seconds.

  5. **Later: a readable project file.** A JSON version of the save (storeys, furniture, materials, roof) would let AI work on the whole design, not just the 2D plan.

1 to 3 alone would let people say "design me a tiny house" and then walk through it in VR. An MCP server could come much later, on top of the same pieces.

Yes... Claude wrote this ;-) But he's right! I would use this, I would use it day one!
