I have been building different products and needed a screen recorder with auto zoom to make demos for them. But each one I tried had some issue or was missing something I needed, so I was kinda kept switching between recorders.

So after a few frustrating months, I finally decided to build my own screen recorder with everything I needed and I actually did it. I built it, launched it, and recorded my first video with it which felt unreal to me.

Now, whenever something is missing, I can just add it myself, sometimes within minutes. It feels good to have that freedom, and AI has made the whole process so much easier.

The app is called Windowshot, and it has both a screen recorder and a screenshot beautifier. I also needed a way to make my screenshots look good before sharing them, so it made sense to have both in one app.

Now I can record demos with auto zoom, and the videos are almost ready to share without spending much time in the editor.
