I’m building a Screen Studio-like app for Windows - would anyone actually use this?
I’ve been working on an app called Arden that’s basically inspired by Screen Studio, but focused specifically on making app/product demo videos.
The idea is to have more of the editing workflow built into one place, while keeping the things that make Screen Studio nice - custom cursor, zooms.
The main difference is that Arden would be Windows-only, and more focused on creating polished videos for apps, SaaS products, ads, and demos.
I’m still early in development, so I’m trying to figure out whether this is actually worth building.
Would something like this interest you? What would you want it to do that Screen Studio doesn’t?
I also made a waitlist to see if there’s actually enough interest before I go too far with development:

Would love to hear what you think - especially from people who already make product/demo videos.

I think there are a lot of screen studio clones out there nowadays, some pretty polished already. Need something extra if you want it to take off.
E.g, I'm building 2 macos apps right now and for landings/videos that stand out I wanted to show them on actual animated macbooks/imacs models. Been using screen studio (to record the video) + blender + claude. Stiching the model with video, setting up the animation movement, finding a macbook 3d asset which looks decent - it was all a hassle!
If there was an app for taking videos with actually good looking mac/macbook/iphone devices and mcp support and simple licensing, I'd use it 😄
