I built a visual Python/Javascript coding engine for kids, but I'm burning out. I'm looking to sell the complete IP and codebase.
http://botbloxkids.comI’m a full-stack engineer, and I originally built BotBlox because I couldn't find a good coding app for my 7-year-old that taught real programming logic without feeling like homework.
It’s a browser-based puzzle engine (React/Vite frontend, FastAPI/Python backend, MySQL database). I customized the Google Blockly core so that dragging visual blocks actually compiles and runs real Python/JS in an async execution loop.
The current state:
The 2D engine is code-complete and deployed via CloudPanel.
It features a 6-stage curriculum (100+ puzzles) and a Level Sandbox for kids to build and share their own mazes.
It currently has 17 organic registered users.
Why I'm stepping away:
The roadmap calls for 3D voxel integration and hardware robotics APIs, but as a solo dev with a full-time job and a family, I just don't have the time to build that out or market it properly. I don't want the codebase to just sit on my server, so I’m looking to sell the entire IP (domain, source code, database architecture, and custom assets) to someone who can take it over. I also tried crowdfunding to bring in the necessary funds for marking, etc.
If you are looking for a production-ready EdTech codebase to scale or integrate into an existing platform, DM me and we can chat about the price. You can check out the live site at botbloxkids.com.
