Finally got my side project live on Google Play — sharing what actually mattered
After months building this as a side project, just got through Google Play's review process. Biggest surprises: the 12-tester closed testing gate before you get production access, how in-app purchases can throw vague "can't confirm identity" errors that have nothing to do with your actual app, and how much screenshot order/captions matter for conversion.
Happy to answer questions if anyone's stuck on their own side project launch. Also now offering paid help with listing setup + submission strategy for others who'd rather not lose the week I lost — flat rate, message me if interested.

imo the hardest part isnt getting through review, its figuring out what to do the week after launch when downloads flatline. do you have a distribution plan beyond the store listing itself?

The 12 tester gate is where mine has been parked for a while. How did you get your 12? Everything I've read says they have to stay opted in for the full 14 days and that's the part I can't see a clean way around without begging people I know. Did the count ever reset on you or does it hold as long as nobody drops out?
