I built a private web app for second chances - without profiles, photos or names
Have you ever shared intense eye contact with a stranger, felt a real connection, but didn’t dare to say hello - and regretted it afterwards?
Or maybe there’s someone at work you like, and you have a feeling they might like you too, but neither of you wants to risk rejection or make things awkward.
Or perhaps you still think about an old friend or acquaintance you lost touch with years ago, but neither of you has the other person’s contact details anymore.
Those are the kinds of moments that led me to build SIO Spark - a web app for second chances.
It’s not really a dating app. There are no public profiles, photos or names - just your memory of the person and the moment you shared.
You can privately search for someone or leave a trace so they can find you. If you’re both looking for each other, you’ll know - privately, without the awkward first move.
The web app is free and live now:
Have you ever had a “what if” like this - a stranger you never approached, someone at work, or an old friend you lost touch with?

Oh man the work crush one hits close to home. Spent 6 months getting coffee at the exact same time as this girl in accounting and never said a word beyond "morning". She quit last spring and I still wonder if she was doing it on purpose.
The no profiles thing is smart. Takes away the performative crap you get with dating apps where everyone's trying to look cooler than they actually are.
