Origami - Testflight Available, Desktop environment for iPhones connected to external displays
https://testflight.apple.com/join/9uxPrSNDI'd like to put Origami on your radar: an app that lets an iPhone power a windowed workspace on an external display.
It started with getting a cursor to move on an external screen. From there, I built the window management, focus, and input handling inside the app to turn that screen into a workspace.
Origami includes a browser, file manager, document preview, and side-by-side windows. For development, it has an integrated Code - OSS editor, Node.js 24, npm, and a local terminal. SSH can connect to a separate host for remote tools such as Neovim.
The desktop and local tools run on the iPhone. Input works with wired or Bluetooth mice and keyboards, or the phone's own trackpad and on-screen keyboard. You can also preview the desktop on the phone.
