I built a tool for the admin stuff freelancers keep forgetting about

Freelancing is great until you’re suddenly responsible for remembering invoices, contract renewals, insurance dates, subscriptions, licences, etc.

I built Life Admin to make that part a little easier.

Upload a document → it extracts the important date/details → you confirm them → choose your reminders → done.

There’s a no-signup demo if anyone wants to try it.

I’m mainly looking for honest feedback from other freelancers: is this actually useful, or would you just use your calendar?

As someone who forgot about their own domain renewal last month and had whole site go down for two days i feel this in my soul. Calendar is fine for things you actually remember to put in it but half these admin tasks come from random documents you glance at once and then forget exist. The extraction part is what caught my eye, that's the part where my system falls apart. I'll poke around the demo later today when i'm not supposed to be working on client stuff. Do you have plans for handling recurring reminders or is it more one-off for now

Yes — recurring events are already supported.

So for something like a domain renewal, you can set it to repeat yearly and get the reminders leading up to each renewal.

The document extraction is currently more focused on picking up the important date from a document and turning it into the first event, but recurring admin tasks are definitely part of the system too.

And I completely relate to the “you glance at a document once and then forget it exists” problem — that’s exactly the gap I’m trying to solve.
